We join you in coming before the throne of grace, lifting up this situation with hearts full of compassion and a desire to see God’s will accomplished. Father, we recognize that pride and mental struggles can blind even the most well-intentioned hearts, and we ask that You break through the hardness with Your truth and love. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 16:18 that "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Lord, we pray that those involved in this matter—whether the owner, legal representatives, or lawyers—would humble themselves before You, recognizing that their strength and wisdom come from You alone.
We also acknowledge the weight of mental struggles, for we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But You, Lord, are the Great Physician, and You promise in Psalm 34:18 that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that You bring healing to any who are battling unseen burdens, that they may find peace in You and turn away from lies or foolishness that may be influencing their actions.
Father, we confess that patience is not always our natural response, especially when faced with injustice or deception. But Your Word reminds us in Romans 12:19-21, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore, 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Lord, fill us with Your supernatural patience and grace to respond in a way that honors You, even when it is difficult. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You see all and will not let wrongdoing go unanswered.
We also lift up the unsaved in this situation. Father, we know that salvation comes only through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, as it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel, that they would repent of their sins, and turn to You for forgiveness and new life. Let this conflict be a catalyst for their salvation, that they may come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
For those who already profess Christ, we pray that You would refine their character, as gold is refined in fire (1 Peter 1:7). Expose any areas of sin—whether pride, deceit, or unrighteous anger—and lead them to repentance. May they grow in the fruit of the Spirit, especially love, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let them be a light in this situation, reflecting Your grace and truth.
Lord, we also ask that You fight on behalf of the tenants who have been wronged. You are a God who sees oppression and hears the cries of the afflicted (Exodus 3:7). We pray that You would intervene in this situation, bringing justice and resolution according to Your perfect will. Protect the innocent, Lord, and let Your peace reign in the midst of this storm.
Finally, we surrender this entire matter into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified, and may Your kingdom come in this situation. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find salvation.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You, and we trust that You are moving even now. Strengthen us to persevere in prayer and to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on our lives. May we be instruments of Your peace, even in the face of adversity. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
