We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with your father. Financial struggles and family conflicts can bring deep distress, and we understand the weight of feeling unjustly treated. First, we want to gently remind you that all authority comes from God, and He calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), even when it is difficult. However, this does not mean enduring unfairness or abuse. The Bible also teaches us to seek justice and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).
We must address the mention of depression. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and depression can be one of his tools to rob you of joy and hope. But Jesus came so that you may have life—and have it abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of heaviness in the name of Jesus and declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). If this depression persists, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk alongside you.
Now, let us pray over this financial and family conflict:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Father, we ask that You soften this father’s heart and grant him wisdom and understanding. If his actions are unjust, we pray that You would convict him and lead him to make things right. Lord, we also ask for protection over this individual’s finances. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in this heart, we ask that You uproot it and replace it with Your peace and love.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of strife or division in this family. We declare that Your love will prevail and that relationships will be restored according to Your will. Lord, we also pray for strength and courage for this individual. Help them to respond with grace and wisdom, even in the face of injustice. Give them the words to speak and the actions to take that honor You.
We also pray for clarity in this situation. If there has been any misunderstanding or miscommunication, we ask that You bring truth to light. Lord, we trust in Your justice and Your timing. Help this individual to release their burdens to You and to find rest in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek wise counsel from a trusted spiritual leader or mentor who can help mediate this situation. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." If your father is acting out of anger or control, it may be necessary to set boundaries while still honoring him as your parent. This could mean having a calm, honest conversation with him, possibly with a third party present, to discuss the financial issue and any underlying tensions.
We also want to gently address the mention of the "white knocker." It is unclear what this refers to, but if there is any involvement with superstition, occult practices, or objects that hold spiritual significance outside of God’s Word, we strongly urge you to remove and renounce them. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns against such things, and they can open doors to spiritual oppression. Instead, fill your home and heart with the truth of Scripture and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Lastly, we noticed that this request did not include the name of Jesus or a recognition of His authority. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the first step to experiencing true peace, freedom, and provision in every area of life. If you would like to pray to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we would be honored to guide you in that prayer.
