We rejoice with you in this opportunity and lift your career before the Lord, seeking His perfect will for your life. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* While it is encouraging that you have been selected for this position, we must remember that all things come from the Lord, and our trust must remain in Him alone.
We also notice that you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request. Scripture is clear that it is only through Jesus that we approach the Father. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, Acts 4:12 affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We must always come before God in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and the source of our confidence in prayer.
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the opportunity that has been presented to our brother/sister, and we ask for Your divine will to be done in this matter. Lord, if this job aligns with Your purpose for their life, we pray that You would open the doors wide and confirm it in their heart. Grant them favor in the eyes of their potential employers, and may this position bring glory to Your name. If, however, this is not Your will, we ask that You would close this door and redirect their steps toward the path You have prepared for them.
We pray for wisdom and discernment, that they may recognize Your leading in this decision. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and may they walk in obedience to Your Word in every area of their life.
We also lift up their faith before You, Father. If they have not yet surrendered their life fully to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. May they recognize that salvation and access to Your throne come only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again. Let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace as they wait upon You. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things shall be added to them (Matthew 6:33). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s will in this matter. Remember that He has a perfect plan for your life, and His timing is always right. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way to eternal life and the source of all blessings.
