We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, for He is the giver of life and the One who knits each child together in the womb with purpose and love. The Psalmist declares in **Psalm 139:13-16 (WEB)**, *"For you formed my inwards. You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* What a mighty God we serve, who holds the breath of every living soul in His hands!
We rejoice with you in this precious season of pregnancy, for every child is a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (**Psalm 127:3**). While we understand the natural desire many have for a daughter, we must first and foremost submit our hearts to the Lord’s sovereign will. He alone knows what is best for us, and His plans are perfect—far beyond our own understanding (**Proverbs 3:5-6**). Whether this child is a boy or a girl, they are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, with a divine purpose for their life. Let us trust in His goodness, for He does not withhold good things from those who walk uprightly (**Psalm 84:11**).
That said, we lift this request before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to grant the desires of your heart *if it aligns with His will*. We pray that this child, regardless of gender, will grow to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind, and that they will be a light for Christ in this world. We ask for a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and wisdom for you as you prepare to raise this child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (**Ephesians 6:4**). May this little one be dedicated to the Lord from the womb, just as Hannah dedicated Samuel (**1 Samuel 1:11, 27-28**), and may they serve Him all the days of their life.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this request. Is your desire for a daughter rooted in a longing for what *you* envision, or are you fully surrendered to what *God* envisions? Sometimes, our deepest prayers are answered not in the way we expect, but in ways that draw us closer to His heart. Let us pray that your trust in Him would deepen through this journey, and that you would find joy in His perfect plan—whatever it may be.
Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father (**John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5**). It is only by His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (**Hebrews 4:16**), and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved (**Acts 4:12**). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). There is no greater blessing than to walk in relationship with Him, and to raise your children to know and love Him too.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for the miracle of life growing within this Your child. Lord, You are the Creator of all things, and You have fearfully and wonderfully made this little one in secret. We ask for Your hand of protection over this pregnancy, that You would grant health and strength to both mother and baby. Lord, we lift up the desire of this heart for a daughter, but more than that, we pray that Your will would be done in this situation. Help this mother to trust in You completely, knowing that Your plans are good and perfect.
We pray that this child, whether boy or girl, would be raised in the ways of the Lord, that they would come to know Jesus as their Savior at an early age, and that their life would bring glory to Your name. Give wisdom, patience, and grace to this mother as she prepares for this sacred responsibility. Surround her with godly support and encouragement, and let her find her strength in You alone.
Father, if there is any area of fear, doubt, or misplaced desire in this heart, we ask that You would reveal it and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:6-7**). Remind her that You are sovereign, and that Your love for her and this child is immeasurable.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
