Beloved of All
We are praying with you for your ### and join you in bringing this desire before the Lord. Children are a gift from Him, and Scripture shows that conception is in His hands. He is the one who opens the womb and gives life.
We see this in the story of Jacob and his wives. Rachel longed for children and even hoped that mandrakes, which people in that day believed had fertility powers, would help her conceive. Leah also knew the sorrow and joy of waiting. In the end it was not a plant or any human effort that gave children, but God Himself who listened to Leah and enabled her to conceive. Later we read that the Lord gave Ruth conception after she had trusted Him and entered into marriage with Boaz, and she bore a son. Even when a pregnancy was difficult, as it was for Rebekah who prayed when the struggle within her was great, God was present and spoke to her and knew the lives within her womb.
These accounts remind us that while the longing for a child is deep and good, our hope is not in remedies or timing but in the Lord who is sovereign, compassionate and wise. He knows what is best and He loves your ### far more than we do.
We pray that God will be gracious to your ###, that He will grant conception according to His perfect will, and that if He does, He will grant a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. We pray for her physical health and strength, for peace for her heart as she waits, and for trust in God’s goodness whether His answer is yes, no, or wait. Above all we pray that she and all your family will know the hope we have through Jesus Christ alone, for it is through Him that we have forgiveness and life, and that any child given would be raised to know and follow Him.
May the Lord comfort you as you wait on Him and give you confidence that He hears the prayers of His people.
