Praying

Beloved of All
We sold our home to some people contingent on them selling their house. We have several months before we need to move so I know we have time. But they have had theirs for sale a long time and I know it’s weighing on them to sell theirs and not lose ours if we have to move on. We do not want to do that. We like these people know our home is perfect for
Them and really want them to be the ones. It would also allow all of us to just relax and not worry. So please send them a buyer so we can all know this is meant to be and happening and make plans. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray for this. Amen

We join you in prayer and thank you for bringing this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. We are encouraged by your compassion and kindness toward the family buying your home and your desire for God's perfect will to be done for everyone involved.

We understand the tension of waiting and the desire to see all the pieces fall into place so that everyone can have peace and make plans. This is a wonderful opportunity to trust in the Lord's timing and provision, knowing that He cares about the details of our lives and directs our steps. We are reminded not to be anxious but to bring everything to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We can commit this entire situation to Him and trust that if this home is meant for this family, He is able to bring the right buyer at the right time. Psalm 37:5 says, Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.

We pray together for you and for the family purchasing your home.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with thanksgiving for Your goodness and Your care for us. We lift up this home sale and the family who desires to purchase it. Lord, You know the needs of both families and You see the waiting and the uncertainty they feel. We ask that if it is Your will for this sale to be completed, You would send a buyer for their house according to Your perfect timing. Provide for them and open the doors that no man can shut. Grant to all involved Your peace that surpasses understanding, patience in the waiting, and freedom from worry, for Matthew 6:34 teaches us, Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. Help them to rest in Your sovereignty and to make plans with wisdom while trusting You with the outcome. We ask that Your will be done and that You would be glorified in how this unfolds. We trust that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose as Romans 8:28 promises. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to rest in Him during these months of waiting, to pray for that other family by name, and to trust that God will make His will clear. May He fill you all with His peace as you wait upon Him.

We hear how much you care about both families in this. You opened your home to these buyers because you believe it is right for them, and now you are carrying the weight of waiting with them, hoping their house sells so no one has to lose what you have all planned together. Having several months before you need to move is a real grace, but we understand the waiting itself can still feel heavy.

It makes sense that this is weighing on you. When so much feels out of your hands, the mind naturally replays what-ifs. One thing that has helped others in a long contingent sale is to give the worry a clear place. You might ask your realtor for a simple, agreed rhythm for updates, maybe a brief check-in once a week, so you are not left wondering every day, and you can use the time between to rest and make your own plans at a calm pace. It can also help to bring the whole situation to the Lord at a set time each day and then gently return to the work in front of you, trusting Him with what you cannot control.

We are praying with you for peace for both households and for God's good provision in His timing.

Father, we lift this home sale to You in Jesus' name. You see these two families and the hopes they have. We ask for Your peace to guard our friend's heart during these months of waiting, for wisdom for all involved, and for Your provision for the other family's sale according to Your will. Help everyone to rest in Your care and to make wise plans step by step. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in bringing this matter before the throne of grace. You have acted in kindness toward those who would buy your home, desiring their good and not merely your own, and you have wisely left time for the Lord to work. That very desire to do good and to handle this matter with prudence and uprightness is itself a way of trusting God.

The Scripture says, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait, I say, on the Lord. And again, My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. To handle a matter wisely is to find good, and the true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust God. You need not carry this weight of worry as though all depended upon your own scheming. We trust in the living God, who made heaven and earth and who sustains all things by His almighty hand. He is not a distant or idle power, but a God with a great warm loving heart, a thinking and active and working God who comes into the midst of this world and does not leave it to go on by itself.

Be comforted also by this, that while you wait upon Him, He is waiting to be gracious unto you. How long He waits, how patiently He bears with His people, how He yearns to show mercy. When at last every other hope has broken down, we find Him lovingly waiting, ready to pardon, ready to provide, ready to perform all things for us.

So we will pray that you may be kept from those wicked fears which so easily beset us in temporal things, and that you may prove the power of God for your protection and provision as you simply rely upon Him.

Let us pray together.

Gracious Father, we cast this matter upon You, and all that we have and all that we have not, we would cast upon You. You know the desire of these hearts concerning this home, and You know the need of those who would buy it, whose own house has long waited for a buyer. We ask that in Your wisdom and economy and order You would direct all things according to Your good will. If it be for the good of all and for Your glory, send a buyer in Your perfect time, that plans may be made with peace and without anxious care. Yet above all, teach all who are concerned to wait only upon You, to trust not in an arm of flesh, but in the living God. Strengthen their hearts while they wait, renew their courage, and let them receive that mysterious strength which comes by Your Spirit into the soul. Keep them from using any doubtful means, and keep them in quiet confidence that Your hand covers all time and all circumstances.

We ask this not because we deserve it, but only through Jesus Christ Your Son, very God of very God, who bore our sins and by whose finished righteousness alone we are saved. There is no other name by which we come to You, and we trust His blood and His promise that whosoever believeth in Him shall not be lost. Lead each heart in these families to trust Him more fully even now.

We leave this in Your hands, believing that You perform all things for us, until these calamities pass. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
