We lift this situation before the Lord with hearts full of hope and discernment. Father God, we ask that You would indeed bring clarity to ### and ### as they seek Your will in their relationship. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Lord, we pray that You would guide their steps and their words, removing any confusion or fear that might hinder honest communication.
We also want to gently remind both of them that any relationship between a man and a woman should be pursued with purity and intentionality, with marriage as the godly goal. If they are not called to marriage, then we pray for the strength to maintain a friendship that honors You, free from emotional or physical entanglements that could lead to sin. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* If there has been any impurity in their relationship, we pray for repentance and restoration.
Lord, we ask that You would give them the courage to have the deep, honest conversations they need. May Your Holy Spirit be present in their discussions, bringing wisdom, humility, and grace. Help them to speak the truth in love, as Ephesians 4:15 instructs, *"but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."*
Above all, we pray that their relationship—whether as friends or something more—would bring glory to You. May they seek Your will above their own desires, trusting that Your plans for them are good. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
