We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation in prayer, seeking His divine intervention and wisdom. First, we must address the foundation of our faith—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from a relationship with the living God.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the God of wonders without number, the One who holds all things in Your hands. We lift up this situation regarding the selection process for the teachers' training college. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this matter according to Your will. If it is Your plan for this individual to be reselected, we pray that You would open the doors that no man can shut and close the doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7). We ask that You would grant favor in the eyes of those making the selections, that they would see the potential and calling You have placed on this life.
Lord, we pray for a retentive memory and the spirit of hard work. We know that wisdom and understanding come from You, and we ask that You would grant these gifts abundantly. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6). May this individual be diligent in their studies, trusting that You will bless their efforts. We also pray for peace and patience during this waiting period, knowing that "in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:6).
However, we must also address the heart behind this request. While it is not wrong to desire a good job or a stable future, we must ensure that our ultimate trust is in You, Lord, and not in earthly security. "Do not lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:19-20). We pray that this individual would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We also rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may be present. The Bible tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We declare that peace over this situation and trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Father, we ask that You would guide every step of this process. If it is Your will for this individual to be selected, we pray that they would be the major in their department and posted in a good school. But above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified in this situation, whether through selection or redirection. May this individual grow in faith and trust in You, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
