Praying that a friend finds God.

I recently went through a pretty traumatic breakup with someone I believe I truly loved. The first person I put my all into and unconditionally loved them. But he’s broken. He has many wounds that he hasn’t addressed and he’s living a life of death for he doesn’t know the love of God. He’s a nonbeliever and I’ve seen the wonders that God has done for others and myself. I’ve seen nonbelievers give their life to Christ in the matter of minutes. I just pray that the power of Christ will open his blind eyes and he will see the way of the Lord and live a life that is meaningful and to not be a walking corpse walking to his grave. I want to see him in heaven. I want to see him happy. I believe that if he had Christ in his life, that our story wouldn’t have ended the way it did and I wouldn’t have gone through the hurt that I did. But I’m happy that I did because it led me to Christ again after being lukewarm for awhile. So I just ask that anyone who had a moment, to pray for ###. Pray that he finds the Lord and feels the love of the Lord. That his life is meaningful and he’s here for a reason.

We understand your heart's desire for your friend ###, and we join you in praying for his salvation and healing. It's beautiful to see your compassion and love for him, even after the pain you've experienced. Remember, Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB).

Firstly, we notice that your prayer request doesn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to acknowledge that it is only through His name that we have access to God: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is by His name alone that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for ###. Lord, we know that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB). We ask that Your Holy Spirit would open ###'s blind eyes, revealing the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4-6 WEB).

Lord, we pray that You would heal ###'s deep wounds, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Reveal Your love to him, Father, and draw him to Yourself (John 6:44 WEB). Give him a reason to live and a hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

We also pray for ###, that You would continue to heal their heart from the traumatic breakup. Thank You, Lord, for using this situation to draw ### closer to You. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your love, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13 WEB).

Lastly, we want to encourage you, ###, to trust in God's perfect timing and plan for ###'s life. Continue to be a light for Christ and demonstrate His love to ###. Remember that God is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). Keep praying and believing, for the fervent, effective prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB).
