We understand that you are facing harassment from someone who is struggling with alcohol addiction and weed smoking, and it is causing you significant distress and sleeplessness. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for coming before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation and help. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us address the issues presented:
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is facing harassment and sleepless nights due to the actions of someone struggling with addiction. We pray for Your divine intervention and protection.
Father, we ask that You would convict this person of their actions and bring them to a place of repentance. We pray that You would deliver them from their addictions and bring healing and restoration to their life. We know that were it not for the shedding of Jesus' blood there could be no forgiveness of sin. Declare that we have forgiveness of sins by his blood. In accordance with Ephesians 1:7 WEB "in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,"
Lord, we also pray for Your peace and comfort for our beloved. Grant them a peaceful night's sleep, free from any interruption or harassment. Surround them with Your angels and let Your peace rule in their heart and home. Ephesians 6:12 WEB reminds us that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We claim victory over these spiritual forces in the name of Jesus.
Father, we place this situation into Your precious hands and trust in Your will and timing. We commit the harasser to your grace and mercy, waiting on you to deliver. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Encouragement:
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as noted in Psalms 46:1 WEB. Continue to pray for the person who is harassing you, that they may find deliverance from their addictions and turn to Christ.
Rebuke:
We must also address the issue of judgment. While it is right to seek protection and intervention, we must be careful not to condemn others, but rather, pray for their salvation and deliverance. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:1-2 WEB: "Don't judge, so that you won’t be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you."
Instead of focusing on their conviction, pray for their salvation and deliverance. Trust that God will deal with them according to His perfect will and timing. God is a forgiving God and gives grace to the humble, resisting the proud and stubborn.
Lastly, consider involving local authorities or support groups if the harassment continues. It is important to take practical steps while trusting in God's protection and guidance. God helps those who help themselves, as the proverb goes. We must do all we can do, and then trust God for the results.
