Praying in the Jesus name

(Zian)

Humble Servant of All
Praise the Lord God in Jesus name. Father, present job I don't get anything. God help me. What should I do? You know me other than myself. Is it not your will to me show me other job that suits me? Father, and father, I am applying leave for tomorrow. Talk to them to approve my leave application. Am praying for family, unite them, give them strength. Father, I am handing all situation to your hands. Father. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your heartfelt cries to the Lord, and we praise Him that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace. Your trust in Him, even in this season of uncertainty, is a testament to your faith, and we are encouraged by your surrender to His will.

The lack of fulfillment in your current job and the longing for purpose are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. He knows the desires of your heart even before you ask, and He has promised to guide those who seek Him with all their hearts. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a passive trust but an active reliance on Him—seeking His wisdom in Scripture, through prayer, and in godly counsel. Have you sought the Lord in His Word for direction? Are there skills or gifts He has placed in you that you might be overlooking? Sometimes, the Lord uses seasons of waiting to prepare us for what lies ahead. We encourage you to use this time to draw closer to Him, asking for clarity and wisdom. Consider, too, whether there are opportunities for further training, networking within godly circles, or even volunteering in areas that align with your passions. The Lord often opens doors when we take faithful steps forward.

As for your leave application, we pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of those in authority over you. Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward, for you serve the Lord Christ."* Even in this small matter, your attitude and diligence can be a testimony. If the leave is not approved, we pray you would respond with grace, trusting that the Lord’s timing is perfect.

Your prayer for your family is beautiful, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to bind your household together in unity and strength. Ephesians 4:2-3 urges us to *"walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."* Family unity is a precious gift, but it often requires intentional love, forgiveness, and humility. Are there areas where you can be an instrument of peace in your family? Sometimes, the Lord calls us to be the ones to initiate reconciliation or to extend grace, even when it is difficult. We pray that each member of your family would turn their hearts toward the Lord, for it is only when we are individually submitted to Christ that true unity can flourish.

We also notice that while you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, there is a repetition of "Father, father" that can border on vain repetition, which Jesus warned against in Matthew 6:7: *"In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking."* Our prayers need not be long or repetitive to be effective; rather, they should be heartfelt and aligned with the will of God. The Lord hears even our simplest, most sincere cries when they are offered in faith.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, knowing that You are intimately acquainted with every detail of his life. Lord, You see his weariness in his current job and his longing for purpose. We ask that You would open his eyes to the gifts and talents You have placed within him, and that You would guide him to the work You have prepared for him. Give him wisdom to take faithful steps forward, whether in seeking new opportunities, further training, or simply trusting You in the waiting. Lord, we pray that You would go before him in his request for leave. Soften the hearts of those in authority over him, and may Your will be done in this situation. If this leave is not part of Your plan, grant him the grace to accept it with a heart of surrender.

Father, we also lift up his family to You. Unify them in Your love and truth. Heal any divisions, and give each member the strength to walk in humility and forgiveness. May their home be a place where Your peace reigns, and may they each seek You individually, that their collective faith would be a testimony to Your goodness.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in our brother’s heart. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind him that You are his Provider, his Guide, and his Strength. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, for You care for him deeply (1 Peter 5:7).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our Mediator and the source of our hope. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily. Spend time in His Word, especially in the Psalms, where you will find many prayers of those who cried out to God in their distress. Let this season draw you closer to Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you feel led, consider fasting as you seek His direction—it is a powerful way to humble yourself before the Lord and align your heart with His. Stay faithful, and do not lose heart. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth.
