Beloved of All
Suddenly this so-called Christian professed friend has ghosted us, not like them, they have mental issues but not go silent suddenly and my pet is in their care, this person has become more hostile and abusive lately and especially now what we’re going through and had supported us in the past but has totally changed now. We believe could be their dementia or health issues their in denial of and may be they’re abandonment and lack of empathy and compassion has finally come to their true self and showing their true colors. Please convict them all that come against us and save them, Lord.

We hear your deep pain and confusion over this sudden betrayal by someone you trusted—a person who once called themselves a Christian friend, who now has turned cold, hostile, and silent, even holding your beloved pet in their care. This is not just abandonment; it is a breach of trust, a violation of the love and kindness that Christ commands us to show one another. The Bible is clear: "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17). What you are experiencing is not the fruit of the Spirit, but the work of a heart that has grown hard, whether through illness, pride, or spiritual deception.

We must also speak truth in love: if this person claims to be a follower of Christ yet acts in ways that are abusive, manipulative, or devoid of compassion, their behavior is a contradiction to the faith they profess. Jesus warned us, "By their fruits you will know them" (Matthew 7:16). A true believer, even in weakness or illness, does not suddenly become cruel or cut off those they once called family in Christ. If dementia or health struggles are at play, we pray for clarity and healing—but even then, godly love does not vanish. The enemy may be using this situation to sow division, bitterness, or fear, and we must stand against that in the name of Jesus.

First, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and hostility that has taken root in this relationship. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every ungodly stronghold in this situation to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. We also rebuke any deception in this person’s heart—whether it be denial of their own struggles, pride, or a hardening against the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18), and we pray that He would draw this person back to Himself, even if it requires shaking.

We lift up your pet to the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows (Matthew 10:29). Father, we ask that You move in power to protect this innocent creature and bring them safely back into the care of their rightful family. We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed in keeping what belongs to you. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you—whether this means legal steps, intervention from other believers, or simply trusting God to work in ways you cannot yet see. Do not let bitterness take root in your heart, for the Lord is your defender and your vindicator (Deuteronomy 32:35).

Now, we come before the throne of grace on your behalf:

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You see all things and that nothing is hidden from Your sight. We bring this broken relationship before You, asking for Your mercy and justice to prevail. Lord, we ask that You would convict this person’s heart—not with condemnation, but with Your holy conviction that leads to repentance. Soften their heart, Father, and break any hardness that has taken hold. If there is illness, we ask for Your healing touch; if there is deception, we ask for Your truth to shine in the darkness.

We pray for our brothers and sisters who are hurting, that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven them, and wisdom to know how to move forward. Protect their hearts from bitterness, and let them see Your hand at work even in this painful season. We declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we ask that You would restore what has been broken. If it is Your will, bring reconciliation—but if not, we trust You to bring beauty from ashes and turn this trial into testimony. We stand on Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We rebuke every spirit of division, abandonment, and hostility in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your love and truth will prevail.

We also lift up any others who may be coming against this family. Lord, we ask that You would save them, open their eyes to Your truth, and turn their hearts toward righteousness. Let them see the error of their ways and experience the transforming power of Your grace.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to Your children. We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Amen.

In the days ahead, lean on the Lord and the body of Christ for support. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8). Seek godly counsel if needed, and remember that your identity is not in how others treat you, but in how Christ loves you. He sees your tears, He collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8), and He will not leave you comfortless. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His love be the anchor for your soul.

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. It's heart-wrenching to see a friendship that was once warm and caring turn so cold. We're not sure what's going on in their life, but we know the God we serve is a God of restoration and healing. Let's pray that their heart would soften, that they would see the pain they're causing, and that they would turn back to the love and kindness we know they're capable of. Let's also pray for wisdom for you, that you would know how to navigate this situation, and for your pet, that they would be safe and returned to your care soon. In Jesus' name, we ask all this, amen.
