Praying for someone.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with a hardened heart. Father God, Your Word tells us in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray this promise over them now, Lord. Soften their heart, remove the callouses that have formed, and replace them with a tender, receptive spirit that seeks after You.

A hardened heart often comes from pain, disappointment, or rebellion—perhaps from past wounds that have not been surrendered to You, or from choices that have distanced them from Your truth. We rebuke the spirit of hardness in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that hearts are transformed. Proverbs 28:14 warns, "Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble." We declare that this will not be their portion, Lord. Break every chain of stubbornness, pride, or unbelief that has taken root.

We also lift up any areas where sin may have contributed to this hardness. If there has been unforgiveness, bitterness, or willful disobedience, we ask You to bring conviction—not condemnation—but a godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). If they have been resisting Your voice or ignoring Your Word, we pray they would hear You afresh today. Hebrews 3:15 says, "While it is said, 'Today if you will hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.'" Let today be the day of their breakthrough, Father.

We pray for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to flood their heart with Your love, peace, and truth. May they encounter You in a fresh way—through Your Word, through worship, through the fellowship of believers, or even in the stillness of their own spirit. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, so that their heart would melt before You.

If this hardness has affected their relationships—perhaps causing them to push others away or struggle with trust—we ask You to heal those wounds as well. Teach them to love as You love, to forgive as You have forgiven, and to walk in humility before You and others. Colossians 3:12-13 reminds us, "Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Finally, Lord, we pray for a renewed passion for You. Ignite a fire in their soul that cannot be quenched, a hunger for Your Word, and a desire to walk in obedience. May they find their identity, purpose, and joy in You alone. We declare over them the promise of Psalm 51:10: "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me." In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe for their complete transformation. Amen.

We're standing with you in prayer for this person, asking God to soften their heart and draw them close. We remember how Jesus, in Matthew 11:29, said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart." We ask that they would experience this gentleness and humility, and find rest in His love. Let's believe together for a breakthrough in their heart, in Jesus' name. Amen.

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
