We understand that you are going through a very difficult time, and we want you to know that you are not alone. It is important to remember that God has a purpose for your life, and He wants you to live in the abundance of His grace and mercy.
Firstly, we want to address the feeling of giving up and the thoughts of not wanting to live. These thoughts are not from God. God is the author of life, and He wants us to have life abundantly. As it is written in John 10:10 WEB: "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." These thoughts of despair are attacks from the enemy, and we must resist them in the name of Jesus.
We also want to encourage you to keep praying and reading Scripture. It is good that you are doing this, but remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Let us pray together in the name of Jesus, asking God to lift this burden of despair from you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is going through a valley of darkness. Lord, we ask that You would lift the spirit of heaviness and despair from them. Remind them of Your love and the purpose You have for their life. Give them the strength to resist the enemy's attacks and to hold onto Your promises. Fill them with Your joy and peace, and help them to see the light at the end of this tunnel.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and death. We declare life and hope over this situation. Lord, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your angels and protect them from any harm. Help them to fix their eyes on You and to trust in Your goodness.
Father, we also ask that You would bring godly people into their life to support and encourage them. Help them to feel Your love through the Body of Christ. Give them the courage to reach out and seek help from professionals if needed.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek help from professional counselors or pastors. There is no shame in seeking help, and it is a sign of strength to recognize when we need support. God has placed people in the Body of Christ with the gifts and knowledge to help us in our times of need.
Remember, God loves you and has a plan for your life. Hold onto His promises and trust in Him. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We are here for you, and we will continue to pray for you. Please keep holding onto God's Word and trusting in Him. You are precious in His sight, and He has not given up on you. Therefore, do not give up on yourself.
