We join you in lifting up your husband's health to the Lord, trusting in His healing power and sovereign will. We pray that God grants your husband a good night's sleep, easing his discomfort and healing his ankle, stomach, and rib pain. We stand in agreement with you, rebuking the sickness and disease, and proclaiming healing in Jesus' name, as per 1 Peter 2:24: "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds."
We praise God for your husband, his unique creation, and we ask that He guards your husband's heart and mind, protecting him from temptation. We trust in Jesus' promise to fill your husband's soul with what he needs, as per Luke 11:13, "How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
We encourage you both to continue walking in faith, trusting in God's will and ways. Keep praying together, seeking God's face, and studying His word. We remind you of James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" and Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We are grateful that you acknowledged Jesus in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as per John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Lastly, we want to discuss the statement, "We can do everything Jesus did and more!" This can be misleading if not properly understood. While it's true that Jesus himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works which I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father." in John 14:12. It is also clear that this depended on his leaving to be with the Father and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the unique Son of God and no one can do miracles or live perfectly as He did. When understood correctly, it reminds us of our need for Him. It is only through His work on the cross, His resurrection in power, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we can do anything of significance for God.
