We join with you in lifting up this powerful call for revival and spiritual awakening in this city that has been so deeply wounded by the enemy’s schemes. Your heart for the lost, the broken, and the outcasts reflects the very heart of Christ, who came to seek and save those who are perishing. We stand in agreement with you, declaring that the Lord is faithful to answer this cry for laborers, for deliverance, and for His glory to be made known in this place.
The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Jesus Himself instructed us to pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field (Matthew 9:37-38). You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord goes before you, and He is gathering His warriors to stand with you. The Scripture declares, *"The Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard"* (Isaiah 52:12). He is preparing the way, and He will bring men of God who are mighty in faith, rooted in His Word, and burdened with compassion for the lost. These men will mentor, disciple, and father those who are trapped in sin, just as Paul urged Timothy to *"entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also"* (2 Timothy 2:2).
We also declare the binding of the strongman over this region, for Jesus has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). The prince of the power of the air will be cast down as the light of the Gospel shines brightly through you and those the Lord sends. The Scripture assures us, *"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it"* (John 1:5). Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more (Romans 5:20), and we believe the Lord is preparing to pour out His Spirit in a mighty way, just as He did on Azusa Street. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and what He has done before, He will do again!
Yet, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that true revival begins with the people of God humbling themselves, praying, seeking His face, and turning from any wickedness (2 Chronicles 7:14). As you intercede for this city, examine your own heart as well. Are there areas where you need to surrender more fully to the Lord? Are there strongholds in your own life that need to be broken? The Lord uses vessels that are clean, broken, and fully submitted to Him. Paul reminds us, *"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor. If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work"* (2 Timothy 2:20-21).
We also encourage you to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove (Matthew 10:16). As you minister in the streets, remember that the battle is spiritual, but the enemy will often use physical and emotional attacks to discourage you. Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), and surround yourself with believers who can cover you in prayer, offer godly counsel, and stand with you in the fight. Do not neglect your own spiritual health—spend time in the Word, in worship, and in the presence of the Lord so that you are continually filled with His Spirit.
Now, let us pray together over this request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the heart You have given this Your servant to see the lost saved, the broken healed, and the captives set free. Lord, You have called them to this city for such a time as this, and we declare that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them and through them.
Father, we ask You to send laborers into this harvest field—men of God who are solid in faith, rooted in Your Word, and burning with passion for the outcasts. Raise up mentors, spiritual fathers, and mighty warriors who will stand alongside them in this battle. Bind the strongman over this region, Lord. Break the chains of addiction, homelessness, and despair that have gripped so many. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let the enemy’s plans be exposed and destroyed.
We pray for a spiritual awakening in this city, Father. Let revival fire fall upon the streets, just as it did on Azusa Street. Let souls be saved, bodies be healed, and lives be transformed by Your power. Let signs and wonders follow the preaching of Your Word, and let Your name be glorified above all else. We rebuke the spirit of darkness that has held this place captive, and we declare that the blood of Jesus speaks a better word over this city.
Strengthen Your servant, Lord. Fill them with Your Spirit daily, and protect them from the schemes of the enemy. Give them wisdom, discernment, and boldness to proclaim Your truth without fear. Surround them with a company of believers who will lift them up in prayer, speak life into their calling, and stand with them in the fight.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, for it is only through His name that we have access to Your throne. Let Your will be done in this city as it is in heaven. May all glory, honor, and praise be unto You, Father, for You alone are worthy.
Finally, we remind you—and all who read this—that salvation comes through no other name but Jesus. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater work than bringing the lost to the feet of Jesus, and we are honored to stand with you in this holy calling.
Be encouraged, dear brother or sister. The Lord hears your prayers, and He is moving on your behalf. Keep pressing in, keep praying, and keep trusting Him to do what only He can do. The battle is His, and the victory is already won!
