Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please children of God. The says a multitude of prayer is better than one. On ### my grandson ### is headed to basic training in the army. Please agree with me in Jesus name for his well-being, mental endurance, physical health, Spiritual well-being, and have the courage to get through. I pray that everyone that surround him is for him and not against him. I pray that God put the right people in his life and that everyone that come in contact with him by favoring him. This is my prayer for not this ### but for all the new recruits that is going in with him. And mainly I pray dearly for him to come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the one that's going to see him through it all praises to our God in Jesus name amen

We join you in lifting up your grandson and all the new recruits as they prepare for basic training. It is a time of great challenge, but also an opportunity for growth in strength, discipline, and faith. The Word of God reminds us in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord will be with them every step of the way.

We pray for their physical health, that their bodies would be strong and resilient, able to endure the demands of training. May the Lord protect them from injury and illness, and grant them the energy they need each day. For their mental endurance, we pray that their minds would be sharp, focused, and filled with peace, even in the midst of stress or fatigue. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, declaring that God has not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Spiritually, we pray that their faith would be deepened and strengthened. For those who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this season would draw them closer to Him. May they come to understand that true strength comes from the Lord, and that He is their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We pray that your grandson would be a light to those around him, that his faith would shine brightly, and that others would be drawn to Christ through his witness. May he and all the recruits be surrounded by godly influences, fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith and stand with them in prayer.

We also pray for favor over them, that their leaders and peers would see them with kindness and respect. May the Lord place the right people in their lives, those who will speak life, wisdom, and encouragement. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they will be protected from any harm or ill intent.

Most importantly, we lift up their salvation. For those who do not yet know Jesus, we pray that their hearts would be open to the gospel. May they come to experience the love of Christ in a personal way, understanding that He is the only way to eternal life (John 14:6). We pray that your grandson would grow in his relationship with the Lord, and that he would be a bold witness for Christ in his new environment.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your promises. Strengthen these young men and women, guide them, and draw them close to You. May they emerge from this season not only as soldiers prepared for service to their country, but as warriors for Your kingdom, fully equipped to live out their purpose in Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We join you in praying for your grandson and all the new recruits. It’s a holy thing when a grandparent carries a child before the throne like this, and we stand with you in Jesus’ name.

Basic training will stretch him far beyond what feels comfortable, physically and mentally. That pressure can become fertile ground for courage, because courage isn’t a single heroic moment but a steady string of small choices to do the hard thing rather than the easy thing. We’ll pray that in the fatigue and the uncertainty, he finds strength he didn’t know he had, and that God protects him from discouragement and isolation. We also ask, as you do, that the people around him be for him, drill sergeants who build him up, buddies who watch out for him, and believers who quietly point toward Christ.

That last part matters most. Many men step into the intensity of service and, maybe for the first time, realize they’re not in control. That crack in self-sufficiency often lets the light in. We will pray that this season becomes the one where your grandson truly meets Jesus, the One who sees him, walks with him, and will carry him through.

One concrete thing you can do: write to him consistently, not with pressure, but with reminders of who he is and that he’s covered in prayer. Short, faithful notes can be a lifeline when things get lonely. If you have a church family, let a small group or prayer team know the date he ships out and ask them to pray along with you until he returns.

Let’s pray now.

Father, we lift this grandson to You. Guard his body, steady his mind, and give him courage that outlasts the hard moments. Surround him with people who will help and not harm. Above all, draw his heart to Jesus. Let him find life, hope, and peace in Christ, and may he come through this season physically whole and spiritually awake. In Jesus’ name, amen.

There is a great sweetness in a grandparent’s prayer, and I thank God that you have brought this dear grandson before the throne of grace. The multitude of prayers is indeed a blessed thing, and we join our faith with yours, in the name of Jesus, for his well-being, his courage, and above all for his soul’s salvation.

The army will test his body and mind, but the keeping of the Almighty is the true garrison of strength. Let me point you to that promise which is as honey to the weary: “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” All human might must fail, for it is derived and measurable; but strength infused by the Holy Ghost never runs dry. Pray that your grandson may learn that secret communion with God which sustained Daniel, for it was his hidden life that gave him undaunted courage before every threat. That same Spirit can work in a young soldier, making him to stand though all around be shaking.

Yet, beyond all earthly preservation, the great matter is that he should come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other salvation for the blackest sinner or the most moral recruit. The Scripture says, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” How simple! How instantaneous! It is not by piling up good works or religious ceremony, but by casting himself upon the Person of Christ, with a faith that leaves the whole matter of his soul in His pierced hands. I beseech you, urge this upon him while the day of opportunity is yet bright. Faith in Jesus is the one way, for generals and privates, for old and for young.

And do not think that prayer for his spiritual awakening is a chance effort. No, the Lord who bids us ask is faithful. I have often seen that when a soul is lifted up in the congregation’s cries, God does not despise the travail. May it be that your grandson, surrounded by right friends and kept from harm, will find in a strange place the Saviour who is never far from any one of us. Even in the camp, the Spirit can work. “Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength”, so too from the lips of a young man in training may yet arise praises to God.

Therefore, wait upon the Lord with expectation. When strength seems gone, then is the time to fling all upon the divine power. Pray not as one who hopes so much as one who knows that the Lord has said, “I will strengthen them.” This is no limited promise. He will give strength for every battle, and patience for every march. And if the greatest miracle occurs, if your grandson should be born again, then you will see that the salvation which is without money and without price is also without reverse. It is God’s own salvation, complete and eternal.

Till that glad news comes, let the household continue in prayer. Set before him the way of life in your letters, yet more in your tears. The Lord who hears the cry of the broken-hearted will not turn away from a grandparent’s pleading. Let us together trust in the God whose honour is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep. Be not faithless, but believing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The multitude of prayers rising together for your grandson is a sweet incense before the throne of God. He who said, "whatever you ask in my name, I will do," hears the united cry of His children. You have done well to call upon the body of Christ to agree with you, for the Apostle himself attributed his deliverance not only to God's mercies but also to the prayers of the saints. So we join our supplication to yours for this young man and all who enter training with him.

Yet I would urge you, even as you plead for his physical safety and mental endurance, to press upon him the one thing necessary: his soul's salvation. The world tells him to be strong in himself, but true courage is born from the cross. When we sign ourselves with that sacred sign, we fill our foreheads with boldness and make our souls free, free from the fear of man, free from the despair that prowls like a beast. The Captain of our salvation, Christ Jesus, did not shield Himself from suffering but endured the cross to bring many sons to glory. Your grandson's training will be a proving ground, a contest like that of a boxer who shows his skill not in the quiet gymnasium but in the ring, taking blows and standing firm. Such trials, borne in faith, work endurance and become a testimony of comfort and salvation to others.

Do not let him delay his embrace of the Gift. How many catechumens put off the washing away of sins until their final breath, not realizing that now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. If it is possible for the Lamb of God to lift the charges that stand against us without our own labors, why should he wait? The monster of despair never gives up hope of our destruction; shall we hesitate to seize the sure hope set before us?

Therefore, teach him to believe that the right people surrounding him will be those whom God sends, but above all, that the One who died for him will walk with him through every hardship. His courage will not be the insolence of an unbridled tongue or the bravado of this age, but the holy boldness of the martyrs, grounded in the blood of Christ. Pray that he comes to know the Lord not as a distant helper but as the very author and finisher of his faith, the one who sustains him body and soul. Let this be your constant cry: that in the wilderness of basic training, he finds the Fountain of living water, and that his endurance becomes a radiant proof of the power of Christ dwelling in him. Amen.

What a privilege to carry this request before the throne of grace. I am joining you in prayer for your grandson and all those entering basic training alongside him. The concerns you have for his well-being are not small things, and our Lord is attentive to every one of them.

It is worth remembering that God has been training your grandson long before he ever received those orders. Nothing coming his way will catch the Lord by surprise. He never allows us to step into a season without first preparing us for it, and just as surely, He has already gone ahead to prepare that place. The discipline ahead will become part of how God shapes his character, and my prayer is that through it all, his heart will be drawn toward the One who holds his future.

Your deepest prayer, that he would come to know Jesus Christ as Savior, is where everything else finds its true foundation. Mental endurance, physical health, and favor from those around him are good and right to ask for, but the soul’s safety is the anchor. A person can put their confidence in the strength of an army or the structures of a base, yet real protection belongs to those who seek the Lord. If someone stands apart from Him, they step out from under His covering. That is why his spiritual well-being is the core need.

Many will offer him false hopes: a vague belief, a childhood ritual, or just being a decent person. But salvation is not a creed recited. It is a living, life-changing faith in Jesus Christ. If that faith hasn’t altered the direction of a life, then the soul remains in grave danger. Still, the very fact he is entering this new chapter tells me today is a day of salvation. God’s Spirit can turn a heart as suddenly as He turned the apostle Paul on the Damascus road. The same voice that stopped a persecutor can break through in a barrack or on a training field. It is not too late.

So I stand with you, asking the Lord to surround him with people who will be for his good, to grant him courage, and to guard his body and mind. But above all, I agree that his eyes would be opened to Jesus, the only One who can carry him through every trial and who alone can rescue him from the judgment that awaits a world that has walked away from its Maker. Even when the Babylonian army was on the march, the prophet still pleaded with the people to turn back. The Lord’s mercy is still holding out hope.

May your grandson discover that the Lord is with those who seek Him with their whole heart. And may that same mercy reach every recruit stepping into this new life, so that many would know the salvation found in no other name. Thank you for allowing me to share in this petition. We trust the God who hears, and we look for His faithful answer.
