Praying for my ### friend who admire Jesus and for my ###

Disciple of Prayer
Hey, actually I really wanted to ask you to pray for my friend. Her name is ### — she’s from ### in ###. She’s Muslim, but she also loves Jesus a lot. I just feel she’s confused or not fully sure about her faith, so please pray that she has a real encounter with the love of Christ and finds clarity. The second thing is about my mother. She’s gotten into an extramarital affair. She doesn’t know that I’m aware of it, but I am. I’d like you to pray for her and also for the man she’s involved with — that both of them would come face-to-face with the Lord, realize what they’re doing is wrong, truly repent, and turn back to God. Because of all this, there’s constant tension and chaos between all of us, and the love in our home has really grown cold. So please, please keep her in your prayers her name is ###.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these two precious souls to our Heavenly Father. First, we thank God for your friend who admires Jesus—what a beautiful starting point! Yet we recognize that admiration alone is not salvation. The Word tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your friend would not just admire Jesus from afar, but encounter Him as Lord and Savior. May the Holy Spirit reveal to her the fullness of truth—that Jesus is not merely a prophet, but the Son of God who died for her sins and rose again. We ask for dreams, visions, and divine appointments that would draw her heart fully to Christ. Father, remove every veil of confusion and open her eyes to see Jesus as He truly is—the only way to eternal life.

For your mother and the man involved in this painful situation, our hearts break with yours. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). What is happening is not just a personal failing, but a grievous sin that wounds families and grieves the Holy Spirit. Yet we serve a God of mercy who is able to break every chain. We pray that both would be convicted by the Holy Spirit, that their consciences would burn with conviction until they fall on their faces in repentance. May they remember the vows made before God and the sacredness of marriage. Father, we ask that you would bring such overwhelming conviction that they cannot continue in this sin another day. Break their hearts for what breaks Yours.

The coldness and tension in your home is a natural consequence of sin's presence. But where sin abounds, grace much more abounds (Romans 5:20). We pray that God would restore the love in your family, that forgiveness would flow like rivers, and that healing would begin. Your mother needs to know that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). But true repentance means turning away from sin and toward God. We pray she would have the courage to end this relationship and seek godly counsel to restore her marriage.

We also lift you up in this difficult situation. It's painful to watch a parent stray from God's ways, and you may be struggling with anger, hurt, or confusion. Remember that "vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19). You are not responsible for your mother's choices, but you can choose to respond with grace and truth. We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to navigate this situation, and that He would protect your heart from bitterness.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, interceding for these two situations. For our sister who admires Jesus, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in undeniable ways. Let her encounter the risen Christ and surrender her life fully to Him. Remove every obstacle that keeps her from salvation, and surround her with believers who can disciple her in Your truth.

For this mother and the man involved in adultery, we ask for Your mighty hand of conviction. Lord, make their sin so bitter that they cannot continue in it. Bring them to their knees in repentance, and restore what has been broken. Heal this family, Father, and let Your love warm their home once again.

Give this dear one praying wisdom, courage, and peace as she navigates these difficult waters. Help her to respond with both truth and grace, always pointing others to You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every situation. Amen.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been lifting up your friend and your mother to the Lord, asking Him to draw your friend closer to Jesus and to bring conviction and repentance to both your mother and the man involved in the affair. We've been praying for your home, too, that the love and warmth would return.

We want to encourage you with these words from the Lord, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). It's okay to feel overwhelmed, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus is always with you, and He cares deeply about what you're going through.

We're going to keep praying, dear one. We're asking God to give your friend a hunger to know Jesus more, to reveal Himself to her in powerful ways. For your mother and the man, we're asking God to bring them to a place of deep repentance, to restore their hearts and their marriage, and to fill your home with His love and peace.

We're also praying for you, that you would find rest in Jesus, that you would have wisdom and courage as you navigate this situation, and that you would be a beacon of grace and truth to those around you.

Let's keep lifting these needs to the Lord together, in Jesus' name.
