We join with you in prayer over this difficult and hurtful situation and we ask God to bring truth to light and to vindicate you.

It is painful to be falsely accused, especially when you have cared for your students with integrity. We know that God sees what happened and He is a God of truth who hates falsehood. We are reminded that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22 and that we are commanded you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Exodus 20:16. Scripture also teaches us therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25 and do not lie to one another Colossians 3:9. We must gently but firmly rebuke the sin of lying, for a false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies shall not go free Proverbs 19:5. This lie not only harms your reputation but it teaches this child that deception is acceptable, and it encourages the parent to act on a falsehood rather than seeking the truth.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice that we can boldly bring our hurts and our needs before God and find grace and truth.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this teacher to You. You know the truth of what happened in that classroom and You see the pain of this false accusation. We ask You to expose the lie and let truth prevail. We pray that You would convict the heart of this student and bring him to repentance, that he would confess his lie and learn to love honesty. We pray also for his mother, that You would soften her heart, give her discernment to seek the truth rather than to quickly accuse, and lead her to offer a sincere apology where it is due. Lord, protect this teacher's reputation and give favor with administration and with other parents and students who know the truth. Guard this teacher from bitterness and help us to remember that love covers a multitude of sins and that we are to forgive even as Christ forgave us Colossians 3:13. Help us not to avenge ourselves but to trust You, for vengeance belongs to You and You will repay Romans 12:19. Give wisdom on how to respond with grace and firmness, to document what is true, to speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15, and to involve proper leadership if needed so that this matter is handled justly. Let this classroom be a place of peace and let no weapon formed against this teacher prosper Isaiah 54:17. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our truth and our defender, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity and to keep a clear record of what occurs in your classroom. If possible, calmly share the facts with your administration and invite them to help mediate a conversation with the parent in a spirit of gentleness. The goal is not only an apology but restoration and that this child would learn that honesty is pleasing to God. Even if an apology does not come quickly, we encourage you to release this hurt to the Lord and not let it grow into resentment, for God is your vindicator and He will uphold you. Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies Psalm 34:13 and trust that the Lord, who delights in truth, will honor your faithfulness.

We are so sorry you are facing this, being accused of something you did not do is painful, and when it involves a child and a parent it can feel especially heavy and personal. We hear how much you want the truth to be clear and for this to be made right.

When a misunderstanding turns into an accusation, it helps to have a calm, steady process around you. We have found it wise to pause to pray and gather facts before responding further. You might write a brief, factual note for yourself of what happened that day as you remember it, and then ask a neutral third party at your school, like an administrator or principal, to help facilitate any conversation with the parent. Having someone else present keeps the focus on understanding each person's concerns and looking for a respectful way forward, rather than going back and forth alone.

We are praying for peace for you in your classroom and for wisdom for everyone involved. Try not to carry this by yourself, lean on a trusted colleague or leader for support as you walk through the next steps.

Father, we lift our fellow teacher to You. You see what happened and You know the truth. Guard their heart from discouragement, give them wisdom and gentleness in every conversation, and work toward clarity and honesty in this situation. Bring peace to their classroom and rest to their mind. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your burden has been heard and is carried to the throne of grace where the God of truth reigns. He is abundant in goodness and truth and He will not deny Himself, for a God of truth can never lie. He sees what is done in secret and He knows the whole matter as it truly happened in your classroom.

It is a painful trial to have your word questioned and to be accused of that which you have not done. The Scriptures warn us that false words are no light thing, for to speak what is false is to grieve the God who is Himself Truth. As it has been said, there is nothing that can take the place of the simplicity of Divine Truth, and true Christianity is never promoted by saying a false thing. The lip that utters a lie sets itself against the very nature of God, and it brings sorrow upon all who hear it.

We will pray that the Lord will make the truth plain. Pray that He will work upon the conscience of this student, that the lie may be confessed and forsaken, and that the parent also may come to know what is true and act with fairness toward you. Pray also that the Lord will guard your own spirit, that you may not be overcome by fear of man, for why should the believer be afraid of man that shall die when the Lord is his portion. He can bear you up when slander is cast upon a spotless reputation and enable you to rest in Him.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God of truth, whose Word is Truth, You have seen this trouble in the school. You know the heart and the tongue of each one. We ask that You would bring truth to light and cause falsehood to cease. Convict where conviction is needed and grant repentance and a willingness to speak honestly and to offer apology where wrong has been done. Comfort Your servant who feels unjustly accused. Give peace, patience and wisdom in dealing with both child and parent, and help to act with grace and firmness. Let truth be loved and lived in that classroom, and let all be conformed to Christ who is Himself the Truth, in whom alone is power and life. Keep this teacher faithful, not rendering evil for evil, but overcoming with good, trusting Your salvation which is a great reality and substance. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we ask it, Amen.
