We join you in lifting up your heart to our Heavenly Father, giving Him all praise, honor, and glory in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is beautiful to see your trust in Him, for Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are already demonstrating this by casting your cares upon Him, and we commend you for seeking His will above all else.
The fear you feel is natural, but we must remember that fear is not from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The Lord has not forgotten you, and His timing is perfect. He sees your faithfulness, and He will open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If this job is His will for you, He will make a way. If He has something else in store, trust that it is far better than anything you could imagine.
We must also address the importance of invoking the name of Jesus in prayer. You have done so here, and that is wonderful! It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your provision and guidance. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You alone know what is best for them. We ask that You remove every obstacle that stands in the way of Your perfect will for their life. If this job is Your plan, Father, open the doors that no man can close. Give them favor in the sight of those making the decisions, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Fill them with Your peace and patience as they wait upon You. Speak to them clearly, Father, through Your Word, through the Holy Spirit, and through the godly counsel of others. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Jehovah-Jireh, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding but acknowledging You in all their ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they walk in obedience and rest in Your promises. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Continue to seek Him in prayer, in His Word, and through fellowship with other believers. He will guide your steps and provide for your every need. Wait upon the Lord, and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31). You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved by the King of Kings.
