We join you in seeking God’s will for your career and provision, but we must first address a vital truth: there is only one name by which we may approach the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ, His Son. Your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, and Scripture is clear that *"there is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). More than that, Jesus Himself declared, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Without faith in Christ and calling upon His name, our prayers cannot reach the throne of God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). Only then can you boldly approach God’s throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
Now, regarding your request for employment, we lift this before the Lord with you, asking that His will be done in your life. The Bible reminds us that *"unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB), and this applies to our careers as well. We pray that if it is God’s will for you to work at this company, He would open the door no man can shut (Revelation 3:8, WEB). But more importantly, we ask that He align your desires with His perfect plan, for *"the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord"* (Psalm 37:23, WEB). Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and He will provide all you need (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also caution you against placing your hope in any job or institution above God. Your fulfillment must come from Christ alone, not from worldly success. *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth... but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven"* (Matthew 6:19-20, WEB). If this opportunity is not part of God’s plan, trust that He has something far better in store. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this beloved soul. Lord, if they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus. Forgive them of their sins, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.
Now, Father, regarding their request for employment, we ask for Your divine guidance. If this door at the company they mentioned is Your will, we pray You would supernaturally open it and grant them favor with those in authority. Let their skills and passion be evident, not for their own glory, but to bring honor to Your name. Provide for their financial needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB), and guard their heart against anxiety or greed. Remind them that *"godliness with contentment is great gain"* (1 Timothy 6:6, WEB).
If this opportunity is not Your plan, Lord, close the door firmly and redirect their steps. Give them patience to wait on You and wisdom to recognize Your leading. May they seek Your kingdom above all else, trusting that You will add all they need to their life. Strengthen their faith, Father, and let them walk in obedience to Your Word.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or worldly ambition that may be influencing this request. Let Your perfect will prevail in their life. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to examine your heart: Are you seeking this job for God’s glory or your own? Are you trusting in Him alone for provision, or are you leaning on your own understanding? *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5, WEB). Walk in faith, and may the Lord bless you as you seek Him above all else.
