We lift up these students and their parents before the Lord, knowing that He alone can soften hearts and bring about transformation. The Word of God reminds us in **Proverbs 22:6**, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Yet we also know that the hearts of both children and parents are in the hands of the Lord, as **Proverbs 21:1** declares, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."*
It is only through the power of Jesus Christ that true change can occur, and we are grateful you have brought this need before Him. However, we must gently remind you that prayer is most powerful when offered in the name of Jesus, for **John 14:13-14** tells us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and no other name by which we are saved (**Acts 4:12**). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (**John 14:6**).
For these students, we pray that God would grant them teachable spirits, that they may grow in wisdom and respect. May they come to know the love of Christ, which transforms even the hardest hearts. For their parents, we ask that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth of His Word and give them patience, wisdom, and a heart of compassion as they guide their children. Let **Ephesians 6:4** be their model: *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."*
We also pray for you, that God would fill you with His Spirit as you interact with these families. May you speak with grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer each one (**Colossians 4:6**). Let your words and actions reflect the love of Christ, drawing them closer to Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these students and their parents. Soften their hearts, Lord, and turn them toward You. Break down walls of rebellion, pride, and misunderstanding, and replace them with humility, respect, and love. Give wisdom to those in authority over them, that they may lead with patience and godly discernment. Let Your peace rule in their homes, and may Your truth take root in their hearts. We ask that You would draw each of them to Yourself, that they may find salvation and hope in Christ alone. Strengthen and encourage those who are laboring in love to guide them, and may Your glory be revealed in their lives. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray, Amen.
