I always appreciate the prayers you all send out for my dad. We got some bad news from his neurologist yesterday. Apparently when he was in that car accident - when your head gets slammed into something - like for my dad it was the windshield - hit it and then ejected, it rattles your brain. He had bleeding on the brain, but now, a large portion on the brain - the side that tells you to use better judgement, your likes or dislikes, your conversation skills - it is partially just dead in there. My mom was so upset and saying we will be stuck with him like this - It is so sad. My dad can now walk on his own, feed himself, his broken collarbone has healed, he talks, and dresses himself. He does need assistance, but we were so blessed by the Lord that he was not taken from us that day. AFfter over 100 days in the hospital, he is home. I have tried to convince her that the 2 of them should come and live with me. Im able to do it. She will not budge. I know what a major life change this is for her - my parents have been married 52 years! I called her and told her the things in our lives to be grateful for - for me - getting shot and not dying like I should have. -For my sister who has beaten breast cancer after 2 mastectomies for 3 and half years now. AND for my dad - being alive and functional after that horrific head on collision. Please pray for my dad to get stronger each day, but mostly for my mom to realize the miracles she has witnessed just within our family. She said she prays all the time, but lets help her out now.
My mom is Joann Sanders and my dad is Billy Sanders. She has to feel the blessings put right in front of her face. I love them so much.
One more thing, Monday my husband is flying from Ontario CA to NY Albany airport - for work. He will return on Wed. the 13th, but a prayer for a smooth safe trip would be so appreciated.
