Praying for a miracle

Lord in Jesus name I’ve been going through so much these last years. I’ve never won anything. I never been on a vacation never had a car. It’s just simple things that I want that I never had because I always had to keep a roof over my children’s head or make sure it was food on the table. I’m ready to start living my life with my children. I enter a contest. This will be perfect for me of vacation to be in a magazine to win $20,000. That would be a dream come true. I pray to God I win this contest. I donated three rounds already. You don’t understand this will be a dream come true. It’s just simple things I want out of life, but I can never get anywhere because I don’t have the help. My 12-year-old son is so happy for me. I just hope it comes true.

It's natural to desire good things for yourself and your family, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's provision and timing.

As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that our prayers are heard.

While it's not wrong to desire good things, we want to encourage you to align your desires with God's will and to seek His kingdom first. As it is written in Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned donating to enter this contest. While we don't know the details, we want to caution you against putting your hope in things that require payment to enter, as this can be a form of gambling, which is not aligned with biblical principles. Instead, we encourage you to put your hope in God, who is the provider of all good things.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is longing for a change in her circumstances. We thank You for her heart to provide for her children and her desire to give them a better life. We ask that You would align her desires with Your will and provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory.

We ask You to guide her steps, to give her wisdom in her decisions, and to help her to seek Your kingdom first. We rebuke any spirit of gambling or greed, and we ask You to help her to put her hope in You alone.

We also pray for her son, that You would bless him and give him a heart to serve You. We ask that You would provide for their needs and give them a future and a hope.

We pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in God, to seek His will, and to put your hope in Him. He is a good Father who loves to give good gifts to His children. Keep praying and seeking His face, and remember that His plans for you are for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
