Let us come together in prayer and counsel for your dear brother in Christ. We are reminded in Proverbs 17:17 WEB, "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity." It is commendable that you are standing by him in his time of need.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that all help comes from God. Psalm 121:2 WEB tells us, "My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." Therefore, we should pray that God will provide for his needs according to His riches in glory.
We should also pray for his deliverance from any addictions. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Concerning his loss of home, we should pray for justice and that the greedy family member may be convicted of their sin and make amends. 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB warns, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Moreover, it is important to pray that he returns to church and fellowship with believers. Hebrews 10:25 WEB admonishes us, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
Let us pray in Jesus Christ name.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus Christ name to lift up our dear brother. We pray that You will provide for his needs and help him overcome any addictions. We ask for Your justice concerning his home and for the conviction of the family member who took advantage of him. We also pray that he will return to fellowship with believers and continue to grow in his faith. We ask all these things believing that he can be healed and forgiven in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.
Lastly, we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, let us put on the full armor of God and continue to stand firm in our faith.
