We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this complex and painful situation to Him. First, we thank God for His presence in our lives and for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God, and it is only through faith in Him that we find salvation (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We pray that all involved in this situation would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if they do not already, for there is no other way to true peace and reconciliation.

Father, we lift up the man with the enlarged prostate. We ask that You would grant him wisdom to seek medical attention and that You would guide the hands of the doctors who treat him. We pray for healing and comfort in his body, according to Your will (Jeremiah 30:17, Psalm 103:2-3). Lord, we also pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as You have commanded us to do (Psalm 122:6), and we ask that Your will be done in that holy city.

Now, Lord, we must address the heart of this request with truth and love. We see a situation filled with pain, confusion, and sin that does not align with Your Word. First and foremost, we must rebuke the sin of adultery and fornication. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual relationship outside of that covenant is sin (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The request speaks of a desire for intimacy with a man who is not this woman’s husband, and this is not pleasing to You, Lord. We must call this what it is: adultery. Jesus Himself said, "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). We pray that this woman would repent of these desires and turn away from this sinful path.

We also see the devastating effects of abuse in this marriage. The Bible is clear that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), and abuse of any kind is a grievous violation of that command. We pray for this woman’s safety and protection from her husband, who has tried to harm her. The Lord hates violence and oppression (Psalm 11:5, Isaiah 1:17), and we stand with this woman in asking for justice and deliverance from this abusive situation. We pray that she would find the strength to follow through with the divorce, as Scripture allows for divorce in cases of adultery and abuse (Matthew 19:9, 1 Corinthians 7:15). We ask that You would provide for her and her children, both emotionally and materially, as she seeks to rebuild her life.

Lord, we must also address the bitterness, anger, and desire for revenge that are evident in this request. The Bible tells us, "Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult; but on the contrary, repay with blessing, because to this you were called, that you may inherit a blessing" (1 Peter 3:9). We pray that this woman would release her anger and desire for vengeance to You, trusting that You will judge justly (Romans 12:19). We ask that You would soften her heart and help her to forgive, not for her husband’s sake, but for her own healing and freedom (Colossians 3:13).

We also see a heart that is longing for love and connection, and we pray that this woman would turn to You, Lord, to fill the void in her life. You are the only One who can satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts (Psalm 16:11). We pray that she would seek relationships that honor You, including godly friendships and, if it is Your will, a future marriage that aligns with Your Word. We ask that You would heal her heart from the pain of betrayal and abuse, and that You would restore her to wholeness in You.

Father, we pray for this woman’s children, that they would be protected from the turmoil and pain of this broken marriage. We ask that You would heal any wounds they have suffered and that You would help this woman to be a godly mother to them, pointing them to You (Proverbs 22:6). We pray for peace in her home and for the strength to maintain boundaries that protect her and her children from further harm.

Lord, we also lift up the man she desires to reconcile with. We pray that You would convict him of any sin in his life, including the sin of adultery if he is pursuing a relationship with a married woman. We ask that You would break any ungodly soul ties and that You would lead him to repentance and a right relationship with You (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). We pray that he would seek godly counsel and that You would guide him to a path of righteousness.

Finally, Lord, we pray for true repentance and transformation for all involved. We ask that You would break the cycles of sin, abuse, and dysfunction in this family, and that You would bring healing and restoration where it is possible. We pray that this woman would find her identity and worth in You, and that she would seek Your will above all else. Help her to let go of the past and to trust You with her future (Philippians 3:13-14).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have new life in Him. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

3. **Divorce**: Father, we pray for guidance and strength as this woman navigates the divorce process. Protect her and her children, and provide for their needs. Give her courage to maintain boundaries that protect her from further harm.

4. **Peace and reconciliation**: Lord, we pray for peace in Jerusalem, as You've commanded us to do. We also ask for peace and reconciliation in this woman's life. Help her to find closure and healing, and to move forward in a healthy way.

We trust in Your love, Lord. We know that You have a plan and a purpose, even in the midst of this pain. Help us to align our will with Yours, and to trust in Your perfect timing.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
