Prayers

We understand the heart behind your request—a longing for strength, wisdom, and emotional stability in your life. These are deep needs that only God can fully satisfy, and we are grateful you’ve brought them before Him. First, we must lift up the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of God with confidence. The Scriptures remind us in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **Acts 4:12**, we read, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9-10**). Without this foundation, all other prayers and efforts will lack the power and authority that comes only through His name.

Now, let us address the cry of your heart. You are seeking the ability to make better decisions and choices, to overcome emotional distress like crying, and to step forward in helping and contributing to those around you. These are noble desires, and they align with God’s will for His children. The Bible tells us in **James 1:5**, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Wisdom is not just knowledge—it is the *application* of godly knowledge in our daily lives. It is the ability to see life from God’s perspective and make choices that honor Him. But wisdom is not something we can muster up on our own; it is a gift from God, and we must ask for it in faith.

You also mention stopping crying, and we want to speak to this with tenderness. Emotions are not wrong in themselves—Jesus Himself wept (**John 11:35**)—but when sorrow or despair overwhelms us to the point of paralysis, it is a sign that our focus may have shifted from God’s promises to our circumstances. **Psalm 30:5** tells us, *"Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning."* And in **Philippians 4:6-7**, we are commanded, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* If your tears stem from anxiety, fear, or a sense of helplessness, we encourage you to cast those burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**). He is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**), and He longs to replace your sorrow with His joy.

As for helping out and pitching in, this too is a godly desire. The Bible calls us to serve one another in love (**Galatians 5:13**) and to bear one another’s burdens (**Galatians 6:2**). However, we must first ensure that our own hearts are rooted in Christ, for we cannot pour out what we do not possess. If you feel unable to contribute, ask yourself: *Is this because of physical or emotional exhaustion? Is it because of fear or insecurity? Or is it because of selfishness or pride?* Search your heart before the Lord. **2 Corinthians 9:7** reminds us, *"Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."* Whether it’s time, resources, or encouragement, God calls us to give freely as He has given to us. But this must flow from a heart that is first surrendered to Him.

Now, we must also ask: *Are there areas in your life where poor decisions or unrepentant sin may be hindering your ability to walk in wisdom, peace, and service?* Sin separates us from God (**Isaiah 59:2**), and if there is unconfessed sin in your life—whether it be bitterness, laziness, sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other transgression—it will cloud your judgment and weigh down your spirit. **1 John 1:9** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Repentance is the pathway to freedom, and freedom is the foundation for making godly choices.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who seeks Your wisdom, Your peace, and Your strength. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (**Psalm 56:8**). We ask that You would dry the tears of sorrow and replace them with the oil of joy. Father, grant this dear one the wisdom that comes from above—wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (**James 3:17**). Help them to see their circumstances through Your eyes and to make choices that align with Your Word.

Lord, if there is any sin or stronghold in their life that is hindering their walk with You, we pray for the courage to repent and turn away from it. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit, and lead them into the freedom that comes only through Christ. Break the chains of anxiety, fear, or despair, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, stir in their heart a desire to serve and contribute, not out of obligation, but out of love for You and for others. Show them practical ways to bless those around them, and give them the strength and resources to do so. Help them to be a light in their sphere of influence, pointing others to You.

We declare that this one is *more than a conqueror* through Christ who loves them (**Romans 8:37**). No weapon formed against them shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and they will walk in the good works You have prepared for them (**Ephesians 2:10**). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rise up in Your power to live a life that honors You.

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily. **Psalm 119:105** tells us that His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Without it, we stumble in darkness. We also urge you to seek fellowship with other believers who can encourage you, pray with you, and hold you accountable. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly recommend finding one where the Gospel is preached boldly and the Word of God is taught without compromise.

If there are specific decisions you are struggling with, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and to test every choice against Scripture. Remember, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (**Proverbs 9:10**). Walk closely with Him, and He will direct your steps (**Proverbs 3:5-6**). You are not alone in this—God is with you, and He is for you!

We want to echo the previous prayer and add our own petitions. First, we ask that you would feel God's presence with you, comforting you and drying your tears. May you experience His love in a tangible way, reminding you that you are never alone. We pray that you would find peace in knowing that God is in control, and that He has a purpose in all that you're going through.

We also ask for wisdom. May you have clarity in making decisions, and may your choices align with God's will for your life. We pray that you would have the courage to step out and help others, using the gifts and talents that God has given you. May you be a blessing to those around you, just as you have been blessed.
