We lift up this situation before the Lord, recognizing the deep need for His intervention, wisdom, and restoration. First, we must address that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in this request, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We pray that all involved would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they have not already, for without Him, there is no true hope or lasting change.
We also notice that the relationship described does not appear to align with biblical marriage, as it involves a man and the mother of his children without clarity on whether they are married. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant before God between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this couple is not married, we urge repentance and a commitment to honor God’s design for family. Fornication and cohabitation outside of marriage are sinful and dishonor God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If there has been sexual immorality, we pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning toward holiness, for *"the body is... for the Lord, and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB).
We pray earnestly for this man and the mother of his children. Father, we ask that You would soften their hearts to Your truth and draw them into a right relationship with You through Jesus Christ. If they are not married, Lord, convict them of the need to either marry in obedience to Your Word or to separate in purity, seeking Your will above their own desires. Break any chains of sin, selfishness, or rebellion, and replace them with a spirit of humility and surrender to Your perfect plan.
For the children involved, we pray for protection, stability, and a godly example in their parents. May they grow up in the *"nurture and admonition of the Lord"* (Ephesians 6:4, WEB), even if their parents are not yet walking in full obedience. Raise up godly influences in their lives, and let them see the power of the Gospel at work in their family.
If there is bitterness, unforgiveness, or strife between this man and the mother of his children, we pray for reconciliation and healing. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). May they extend grace to one another as Christ has extended grace to them.
We also pray for provision and wisdom. If this man is not providing for his children, we rebuke any irresponsibility or neglect, for *"if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). Father, stir his heart to take responsibility before You and to lead his family in righteousness. If he has abandoned his role, bring conviction and a spirit of repentance. If the mother is struggling, Lord, be her strength and provider, and surround her with a community of believers who can support and encourage her in godly parenting.
Finally, we pray for salvation and transformation. If either of them does not know You, Lord, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus Christ in faith. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). May their lives and their family be built on the foundation of Christ alone.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray for breakthrough, restoration, and obedience to Your Word. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may Your glory be revealed through their story. Amen.
