We understand that you are seeking a good life partner to support and guide you. However, we need to clarify that the Bible teaches us to seek a spouse, not just a partner, and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We will pray for your marriage to a Christian believer.
Firstly, we note that Jesus was not mentioned, and we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Therefore it is very important to pray in the name of Jesus. The Bible makes this clear in John 14:6:
When Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is seeking a godly spouse. We pray that You would guide them to a fellow believer who will support, encourage, and challenge them in their faith. We ask that You would prepare both of them for a lifelong commitment to each other and to You.
We pray that they would remain pure in their courtship, fleeing from fornication and any form of sexual immorality, as Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18:
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
We also pray that they would seek You together, growing in their relationship with You as they grow in their relationship with each other. We ask that You would bless their future marriage, that it would be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God's timing and to seek Him first in all things. Remember, God's plan for you is good, pleasing, and perfect. He knows the desires of your heart, and He will provide for you in His perfect timing. As it is written in Psalm 37:4:
Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart.
