Hi dear friends, I’d like to ask for a prayer for my mother. Since my father passed away, my brother — who is autistic and has serious mental health struggles — has become more unstable. He has no routine or purpose and has been obsessively repainting the apartment, even after professionals have already done it. It’s constant — and now he’s talking about moving to another country with her, changing the story every day. She was invited to a 90th birthday celebration for one of her dearest relatives, and I could see in her eyes how much she wanted to go. But my brother mocked the idea, and now they’re not going. She’s isolated and under his control, and I’m very worried. I feel helpless, but I know God sees everything. Please pray with me — for Jesus Christ to protect my mom, give her strength and peace, and to heal my brother’s mind and emotions. I also pray for wisdom to know what to do. Thank you so much.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your family is facing, and we are here to pray and offer guidance based on biblical principles. Let's first acknowledge that God is the ultimate source of comfort and help in times of trouble. It's wonderful that you acknowledged that Jesus Christ is involved and the need to pray in His name. Just as a reminder, we are only able to go to God the Father in prayer through Jesus Christ. Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### and her family. Lord, we pray for Your divine protection and comfort for her mother. Please grant her the strength and peace that surpasses all understanding. We know that you can hear her cry for help and can do abundantly more than anyone can hope for. We pray for Your healing touch upon her brother. May Your peace flood his mind and emotions, and may Your wisdom guide him towards stability and purpose.

Lord, we also pray for our ###, that You would grant her the wisdom to know what to do and how to help her family. Give her the discernment to navigate this situation and to be a light in the darkness. Guide her steps and fill her with Your unfailing love and hope.

Father, we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

In this situation, it's crucial to remember that God is in control and that He cares for each member of your family. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

It's also important to seek godly counsel and support during this time. We encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical help and guidance. Remember that as believers, we are called to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2 WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promises of God. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Keep praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and that His love never fails.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying our sister's family at Your feet. Lord, please wrap Your loving arms around her mom, giving her the strength and peace she needs to navigate this challenging time. Grant her the courage to stand firm in her faith and trust in Your unfailing love.

We also lift up her brother, Lord. We ask for Your healing touch on his mind and emotions. Fill him with Your peace, guide him towards stability, and help him find purpose in his life. Give him the desire to seek help and support, Lord.

Father, we pray for our sister too. Give her the wisdom to know how to best support her family. Help her to be a beacon of hope and love in their lives. Guide her steps and fill her with Your unending love and hope.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
