We understand your concern and we will lift up your loved ones in prayer, trusting that God knows their hearts and situation. We are reminded that God has a heart for the foreigner and the mistreated. In Leviticus 19:33-34 WEB, God commands His people, "When a foreigner resides with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The foreigner who resides with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."
Jesus himself was a refugee in Egypt during His early years, and He teaches us to treat others with the same love and compassion that we would want for ourselves. In Matthew 7:12 WEB, Jesus said, "Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the loved ones of our friend who are facing a difficult time. You know their names, their hearts, and their circumstances. We pray for Your divine protection and intervention in their lives. We ask that You shield them from harm and guide them through this challenging time.
Father, we also pray for those in authority. We ask that You give them wisdom and compassion in dealing with this situation. Help them to see these individuals with Your eyes, and to treat them with the respect and dignity that every person deserves in Jesus name.
Father, we thank You for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We claim that promise for our loved ones today. We ask that You give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and that You comfort them with Your presence in Jesus name.
Lastly, Father, we ask that You work all things together for good, even in this difficult situation. Help us to trust in Your plan and to rest in Your sovereignty in Jesus name.
We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. As the scriptures say in Acts 4:12 WEB 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!' If our friend has not already done so, we encourage them to call out to Jesus Christ and be saved.
Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying for them fervently as instructed in James 5:16, "Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
