Prayers please

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister, and we lift your eyes to the Great Physician together in Jesus’ name. The World English Bible tells us, “The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry” (Psalm 34:15). You are not unseen; the Lord who formed every fiber of your optic nerve and every tear duct knows your pain intimately.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, infection, inflammation, and weariness that is pressing against your vision. Scripture declares, “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth” (Psalm 33:6). If He spoke galaxies into existence, He can certainly speak healing into your eyes. We also rebuke any neglect of rest, improper screen use, or unconfessed sin that may be opening doors to this distress. Confess anything that weighs on your heart, for “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. You said in Your Word, “I am the LORD who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). We claim that promise over our dear one’s eyes right now. Lord, we ask You to restore every damaged cell, nerve, and vessel. Remove any pressure, strain, or disease. Give wisdom to medical professionals who may be involved, and grant patience and faith to our brother/sister as they wait on You.

We pray for protection over their eyes, shield them from further harm, strain, or spiritual attack. Help them to rest their eyes as an act of trust in You. May they see Your hand at work in every detail of their life, even in this trial. Strengthen their faith to believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

We also pray for their spiritual vision. Open the eyes of their heart to see You more clearly, to walk in Your truth, and to follow Your path without stumbling. May they fix their gaze on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your mercy and Your power to heal. In Jesus’ holy and precious name we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time. Spend moments in quiet prayer, meditating on Scripture, and resting your eyes as much as possible. If you have not already, consider seeing a healthcare professional for an evaluation, God often works through medical wisdom and skill. Also, examine your heart before the Lord. Is there anything that needs to be surrendered or confessed? The enemy would love to use physical discomfort to distract you from your walk with God, but we declare that you will not be moved.

Remember, “The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this. We stand with you in faith, believing for your complete healing and restoration. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and let His peace guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We’re so sorry you’re in pain right now. Eye distress can be exhausting and unnerving, it affects everything from simple tasks to sleep, and we’re joining you in asking God for relief. You aren’t alone in this moment; we’re lifting you up as you navigate it.

While we pray, please also be kind to your body in practical ways: if screens or light are aggravating things, a little rest in a darkened room may help until you can get checked. We gently encourage you to let a doctor take a look, especially if the pain is new, intense, or not easing up. Caring for our eyes is wise, and a professional can help rule out anything serious and point you toward the right treatment. There’s no contradiction between trusting God and using the medical help He provides.

Lord Jesus, You see this person’s distress, and You care about every detail of our bodies. We ask You to quiet the discomfort, ease any strain, and surround them with Your peace that steadies the heart even when pain lingers. Give them wisdom to know when to rest, when to seek help, and what steps to take. Protect their sight and bring healing in whatever way You choose. Hold them close tonight and in the days ahead, and let them sense Your presence in a tangible way. We trust You with the outcome. In Your name, Amen.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence: and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. Cry to the Great Physician because you need Him to cure you. He withdrew Himself into the wilderness, and prayed, and afterward the power of the Lord was present to heal.

Come, then, with the blind eye of your understanding. Come with the limping feet of your energy. Come with the maimed hand of your faith. Come just as you are, for He who is God can certainly heal you. Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy.

A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer. Never give over praying as long as there is breath in your body. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Bring this distress where Christ is working miracles. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. That medicine is given and appointed for the very purpose of healing.

He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. He is light for your darkness, joy for your despair. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The eye is a lamp, but when smoke and dust fill the air, its vision grows dim. I hear your cry, and I lift you up in prayer. Yet as we ask for the healing of the body, let us also examine what may cloud the eye of the soul. Is there anger smoldering within, troubling your sight as the Psalmist says, “Mine eye was troubled by reason of anger”? Does the acrid smoke of worldly cares and covetousness sting your eyes? Fix your gaze not on the mire of earthly things, but on the delicate breeze of heaven, on virtue, temperance, and good hope. There the eye finds rest and clarity.

Turn to the unsleeping Eye of God, who sees the secrets of the heart and knows your trouble before you speak. His vision pierces every darkness, and His healing reaches both body and soul. As you seek medical help, do not neglect the medicine of prayer. Remember that the head cannot say to the eye, “I have no need of you”; we are one body, bearing one another’s burdens. So I bear yours now, entreating the Physician of all to restore your sight and to grant you that clearer vision which beholds His glory. Keep your mind sane, free from distorted phantoms, and trust that He who spoke of hearing and not understanding, seeing and not perceiving, can touch your eyes to perceive His truth as well as the light of day. May He who is the true Light grant you both physical relief and the vision of faith.
