We lift up your six unspoken prayer requests before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 tells us: *"In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered."* Though we may not know the specifics of your burdens, we know the One who does, and we stand in faith with you, believing that He hears and answers according to His perfect will.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for our brother/sister who has laid these requests before You. You are the God who sees, the God who knows the depths of every heart, and the God who works all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that You would move powerfully in each of these situations, bringing Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if there is any area of their life that does not align with Your Word, we ask that You would reveal it to them in love. Give them the courage to surrender it to You, trusting that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). If there is sin that needs to be confessed, we pray they would do so with a repentant heart, knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If there is fear, anxiety, or doubt, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We also pray for their spiritual walk, that they would draw nearer to You each day, seeking Your face and not just Your hand. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, strengthened with might by Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let them not be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind, so they may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
For any relationships in their life, we pray they would honor You in all their interactions. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life—someone who loves You above all else and will walk with them in faith, purity, and mutual submission under Your lordship. May their courtship be marked by holiness, and may they flee from sexual immorality, remembering that Your Word says, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If they are already married, we pray for unity, love, and faithfulness in their marriage, that it would reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Lord, if any of these requests involve healing—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we ask for Your touch. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). If it is provision they need, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If it is wisdom, we ask that You give it generously, as You promise in James 1:5: *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."*
We also lift up any struggles with temptation, addiction, or strongholds. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray they would submit themselves to You, resist the devil, and watch him flee (James 4:7). Strengthen them to walk in victory, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Above all, we pray that their faith would not waver, even when the answers seem delayed. Remind them that You are a God who keeps Your promises, and that those who wait on You will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). May they fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and may they find their hope and identity in Him alone.
We declare over them the blessing of Numbers 6:24-26: *"May Yahweh bless you and keep you. May Yahweh make his face to shine on you and be gracious to you. May Yahweh lift up his face toward you and give you peace."* In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
