We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these six unspoken prayer requests before Him. Though the details are not shared, we know that our Heavenly Father sees and understands every burden, every fear, and every longing of the heart. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We trust that He is already at work in these situations, even when we cannot see His hand moving.
First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all prayer. If these requests are not being lifted up in the name of Jesus Christ, we must gently but firmly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior. Without this relationship, our prayers are hindered, for we pray to a God we do not know.
Now, let us bring these unspoken requests before the throne of grace with faith and expectancy.
Father God, we come before You with these six burdens that weigh heavily on the heart of our brother or sister. Though we do not know the specifics, You know them intimately. We ask that You would move mightily in each situation. Where there is pain, bring healing. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, replace it with Your perfect peace. Where there is bondage, break every chain. Where there is lack, provide abundantly. Where there is sin, convict and lead to repentance.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of despair, anxiety, or hopelessness that may be trying to take root. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, restoration, and breakthrough over every area of concern. We ask that You would align every circumstance with Your perfect will and timing.
If any of these requests involve relationships, we pray specifically for godly wisdom and discernment. Father, if there are any relationships that do not honor You—whether through fornication, adultery, or any other sin—we ask that You would bring conviction and lead to repentance. Your Word is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray for purity in thought, word, and deed, and for relationships that reflect Your design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6).
If marriage is on the heart, we pray for a godly spouse who loves You above all else. Prepare this brother or sister to be the husband or wife You have called them to be, and bring them together with someone who will sharpen them in the faith (Proverbs 27:17). Let their union be a testimony of Your love and grace.
Father, we also lift up any financial struggles that may be among these requests. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). We ask that You would open doors of opportunity, give wisdom in stewardship, and meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Help us to trust You rather than our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
For any health concerns, we pray for Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen the body, mind, and spirit, and grant wisdom to those providing care.
For any spiritual battles, we stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke the enemy and command him to flee in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would draw near to our brother or sister in this time. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they be rooted and grounded in Your love (Ephesians 3:17), and may their faith grow stronger as they wait on You.
We trust You, Father, to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We surrender these requests into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
