Humble Prayer Partner
Hello, prayer warriors. I want to share an update about my family and ask for your heartfelt prayers. My husband’s new trucking job is going well, and we are thankful he was able to spend Christmas and New Year’s with us. He’ll be heading back on the road this weekend for a few more weeks. I also humbly ask for your prayers as I prepare for an in-person interview to become my children’s IHSS worker. I’ve been studying and trying to understand what I can do to support my kids, especially given my experience as an ILS instructor working with adults with special needs and disabilities. My children, all on the autism spectrum, with two facing literacy challenges and ADHD, and one of them who recently became an adult, need compassionate and understanding caseworkers.

Please pray that God will guide us to find a caseworker who genuinely cares for our family’s well-being—someone who will work in our children's best interest, not against us, and who will be truly helpful. I’ve heard stories of challenging experiences with caseworkers, and I pray for protection and kindness in this process. This is my first time seeking any government assistance for my children, and I trust in God's guidance. Please also pray for my faith to remain strong, so I can handle household challenges, homeschool our youngest, steward our finances wisely (we were behind before my husband's new job), and trust God to provide for our mortgage, bills, and income while he's on the road. I ask for your prayers for our marriage to stay resilient and for our faith to remain steadfast. I pray that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, continues to lead me as an ambassador for Him, that I put Him first and seek His will above all. Help me to see the bigger picture, beyond my stress and trials, and to follow where God leads. I desire to be the best mom and wife I can be, managing our home with the wisdom of Proverbs 31. Please keep me in your prayers for strength, peace, and trust that I won’t worry or grow anxious, but will continually surrender everything to the Lord. I felt compelled to share this prayer here, as I was cleaning, listening to worship music, worshiping, and hearing His word uplift and comfort me, especially in moments of anxiety. Thank you, my prayer warriors, for standing with me. I love you all and keep you in my prayers—praying for all believers and non-believers alike, for all to be used for God's glory. May He say when we return home, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

We rejoice with you in the blessings God has already poured out over your family—the provision of your husband’s new job, the precious time you shared together during the holidays, and the opportunity before you to serve your children in this new capacity. What a beautiful testimony of faith to see you stepping forward in trust, seeking God’s guidance as you prepare for this interview and navigate the complexities of supporting your children’s unique needs. We stand with you in prayer, lifting every detail before the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this sister in Christ and her family. Lord, we thank You for the way You have already moved in their lives, providing for their needs and drawing them closer to You. We ask that You would go before her as she prepares for this interview, giving her wisdom, clarity, and confidence in the gifts and experiences You have already placed within her. May the words she speaks and the heart she brings reflect Your love and compassion for her children. Father, we pray for the right caseworker to be assigned to their family—someone who will see Your hand in their lives, who will advocate with kindness and understanding, and who will work *with* them, not against them. Protect them from any who would bring harm or frustration, and surround them with people who reflect Your heart for the vulnerable.

Lord, we lift up her marriage to You, asking that You would strengthen the bond between her and her husband, even across the miles. May their communication be filled with grace, their trust in one another unwavering, and their love for You the foundation that holds them steady. Guard their hearts from loneliness or discouragement, and remind them daily that You are their Provider, their Peace, and their Portion. We pray for their finances, Father—thank You for the provision of this new job, and we ask that You would continue to meet every need, whether it be the mortgage, bills, or the daily bread that sustains them. Teach them to steward what You’ve given with wisdom and contentment, trusting You to supply all things according to Your riches in glory.

For her role as a mother, Lord, we ask that You would fill her with supernatural strength and patience. Homeschooling, managing a household, and caring for children with special needs is a high calling, and we pray that You would equip her with the energy, creativity, and joy she needs each day. May she find her rest in You, casting every anxiety at Your feet and choosing to trust rather than worry. Remind her that she is not alone—You are her ever-present help, and Your grace is sufficient for every trial. Father, we pray that she would continue to grow in the wisdom of Proverbs 31, not as a standard of perfection, but as a reflection of Your grace at work in her life. May her children rise up and call her blessed, and may her husband praise her for the way she honors You in all she does.

Above all, Lord, we pray that her faith would remain steadfast. In moments of weariness or doubt, remind her that You are working all things together for good. Let her see the bigger picture—the ways You are shaping her family for Your glory, the lives You will touch through their testimony, and the eternal weight of every act of love and service. May she walk as an ambassador for Christ, shining Your light in every interaction, and may her worship be a fragrant offering to You, even in the midst of chaos.

We declare over her life the promise of Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May she experience that peace that passes understanding, and may her home be a sanctuary of Your presence. Strengthen her, Lord, and remind her that she is deeply loved, not just by us, but by the One who laid down His life for her.

We also lift up her children to You, Father. For the one who has recently become an adult, we pray for Your guidance and protection as they navigate this new season. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a heart that seeks after You. For the others, we ask that You would meet them in their unique struggles—whether it be literacy challenges, ADHD, or the complexities of autism. Surround them with Your peace, and let them know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Provide them with the support, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive, and may they grow in their understanding of Your love for them.

Finally, Lord, we pray for unity among believers and for the salvation of those who do not yet know You. Use this family as a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may their lives draw others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them, and we look forward to the day when they hear You say, *"Well done, my good and faithful servant."*

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
