Prayers please!

We understand you have two unspoken prayer requests, and we lift these before the Lord with earnest hearts. While we do not know the specifics, we know that God does, for He searches all hearts and understands every intent of the thoughts (1 Chronicles 28:9). There is nothing hidden from Him, and He invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

First, we must gently but firmly remind you that prayer is not a magical or vague act—it is a direct, personal conversation with the living God through the name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If we do not pray in the name of Jesus, we have no access to the Father, for Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). We do not know if you are praying in His name, but if you are not, we urge you to do so. Without faith in Christ and prayer in His name, our requests are empty. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we plead with you to repent and believe in Him today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater need than this.

Now, as we pray for your unspoken requests, we ask the Lord to reveal Himself mightily in these situations. If there is sin involved—whether in your life or in the circumstances surrounding these requests—we pray for conviction and repentance, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). If these requests involve relationships, we pray they would align with God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman, pursued in purity and with the intention of honoring Christ. If there is any sexual immorality, fornication, or ungodly union, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and call for repentance, for *"the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB). If these requests involve same-sex attractions or relationships, we declare that God’s Word calls such things an abomination (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27), but we also proclaim that His grace is sufficient to transform and redeem. *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, WEB).

Perhaps these requests involve fear, sickness, financial struggle, or spiritual warfare. Whatever they are, we stand on the promise that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:15, WEB). We pray for healing, provision, and deliverance, but most of all, we pray for God’s will to be done—even if that means suffering for a season to refine your faith. Remember, *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up these unspoken requests to Your throne of grace. You know the depths of these needs before a word is even formed, and we ask that You would move powerfully in each situation. Lord, if there is sin that needs to be confessed, bring conviction and repentance. If there is confusion, bring clarity. If there is brokenness, bring healing. If there is rebellion against Your Word—especially in the areas of relationships, purity, or marriage—we ask that You would expose it and turn hearts back to Your truth. Father, we pray for protection over this beloved one, that no weapon formed against them would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them wisdom to walk in Your ways and strength to resist temptation. If these requests involve a longing for marriage, we pray You would provide a godly spouse who loves You above all else, and that this union would be founded on Your Word and sealed in covenant before You. If there is any sexual immorality or ungodly relationship, we rebuke it now in Jesus’ name and pray for a spirit of repentance and a hunger for holiness.

Lord, we also pray that if this one has not yet surrendered fully to You, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again, and that by faith in Him alone, they can be saved. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and empower them to live for Your glory.

We trust You, Father, with these requests, knowing that You are good and Your love endures forever. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to bring these requests into the light. While God hears the unspoken cries of our hearts, there is power in confessing our needs to trusted believers who can pray with us and hold us accountable (James 5:16). If there is anything in these requests that conflicts with Scripture, we urge you to turn from it and align your life with God’s Word. He is faithful, and His ways are perfect. Trust Him, even when the path is unclear. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB).

We're here for you, friend. We understand that you have two unspoken prayer requests, and we want you to know that we're lifting these up to the Lord with you.
