We understand your concern and anxiety about your husband's job situation, especially given your proximity to retirement. We stand with you in prayer and petition to our Lord Jesus Christ, who cares for our every need. In all things, we are to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as this is the only way we have access to God the Father. For There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, You know the concern in their hearts regarding the potential job layoffs. We ask, Father, that You would spare her husband's job, and allow him to continue working until he reaches retirement. We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and know that You have the power to make a way where there seems to be no way.
In the meantime, Father, help them to trust in You completely, casting all their anxieties on You. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You care for them and will provide for all their needs and guide their future.
We also pray for those who may be laid off, that You would provide for them and direct their steps too.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and cares for your needs. For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him.
Remember, too, that God's got this situation already, and He will make a way, even in the midst of trials. It might be difficult, but it's an opportunity for you both to go through this together, hand in hand and hearts intertwined, trusting in the Lord every step of the way. Stand on His promises, knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
