We understand your concern and the difficult situation you are in. Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in this matter and for acknowledging that you are praying to God in Jesus name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In all things, we are called to seek God's wisdom and guidance. The Bible tells us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6 WEB.
It is important to consider that the Bible teaches us to be content in all circumstances of our lives, not just our jobs. Not that I speak because of need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. Philippians 4:11-12 WEB.
You mentioned that this is not about vengeance but about truth and justice. We appreciate your heart's attitude, as the Bible warns us, Don't say, I will pay back evil. Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you. Proverbs 20:22 WEB. It is always good to pursue justice and truth in a spirit of humility and forgiveness.
Regarding your debt, remember that God cares for you and will provide for your needs. Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Matthew 6:25-26 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your will and guidance for our brother/sister. We pray that You will grant them the wisdom to make the right decision regarding their unemployment claim. Help them to discern if pursuing this claim aligns with Your will and if it is the right path for them to take.
Lord, we also lift up their financial situation to You. We ask that You provide for their needs and help them to manage their debt. We trust in Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Father, we also pray for their heart. Help them to forgive anyone who may have wronged them and to release any bitterness or resentment. Help them to keep their heart pure and focused on You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
