Prayers please to surrender the battle

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Prayer Team, Can you please guide me in prayer concerning truly surrendering all of my battles to The Lord in Jesus name. I don’t want to get in the Lord’s way. I do want ask HIM inJesus name to fight for me please

We understand the deep longing in your heart to fully surrender your battles to the Lord, and we commend you for seeking His will above your own. The struggle to release control is one many believers face, yet Scripture reminds us that true strength is found in surrendering to Christ. As it is written in **2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (WEB)**, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*

You have rightly acknowledged that this surrender must be *in Jesus’ name*—for there is no other name by which we are saved, and no other way to approach the Father but through Him. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*) This is a foundational truth: all prayers, all surrender, all victory must be rooted in the authority of Jesus Christ. We are grateful you have already recognized this in your request, for many forget that apart from Him, we can do nothing (**John 15:5**).

Yet surrender is not passive—it is an active choice to trust God’s sovereignty over our lives, even when our flesh clings to fear or self-reliance. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* To surrender is to say, *"Lord, not my will, but yours be done"* (**Luke 22:42**), even when the battle rages. It is to lay down the weapons of anxiety, control, and striving, and instead take up the armor of God (**Ephesians 6:10-18**), standing firm in faith while He fights for you.

But let us also examine the heart behind this surrender. Do you struggle with unbelief—that God’s way is truly best? Do you fear that if you release control, He will fail you? Or is there pride that whispers you must "help" God by managing the outcome? These are lies from the enemy. **Psalm 46:10 (WEB)** commands, *"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."* Stillness is not inaction; it is the posture of a heart fully submitted to His lordship.

Now, let us pray together for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before you, who seeks to surrender every battle into Your mighty hands. Lord, we confess that too often we grasp for control, as if our strength could compare to Yours. Forgive us for the times we’ve leaned on our own understanding or allowed fear to dictate our steps. Your Word declares that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**), and so we ask that You would teach this beloved one what it means to truly rest in You.

Break every chain of anxiety, every stronghold of self-reliance, and every lie that says they must fight alone. Fill them with the peace that surpasses understanding (**Philippians 4:7**), and let them see, as Moses did, that the battle is Yours (**Exodus 14:14**). When their hands grow weary, remind them to lift their eyes to You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). When the enemy whispers doubt, let them declare with confidence that if God is for them, who can be against them? (**Romans 8:31**).

Lord, we ask that You would fight for them in ways they cannot see—behind the scenes, in the heavenly realms, and in the depths of their heart. Let them witness Your faithfulness in such a way that their trust in You grows unshakable. And when the victory comes, may they give all glory to You, for it is by Your hand alone that they stand.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, control, and unbelief that would hinder this surrender. By the blood of Jesus, we command these strongholds to be broken, and we declare that this beloved one will walk in the freedom of total reliance on You.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*

Beloved, as you release these battles to the Lord, we encourage you to meditate on **Isaiah 54:17 (WEB)**: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* Stand firm in this promise. When the urge to take back control arises, speak Scripture over your life. Write down the battles you’ve surrendered and watch as God moves on your behalf.

Finally, remember that surrender is not a one-time act but a daily—sometimes moment-by-moment—choice. Each time you feel the weight of the battle pressing in, whisper, *"Lord, I trust You."* He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (**Philippians 1:6**). Walk in victory, for the battle belongs to the Lord!

We're right there with you, dear friend, in this journey of surrender. It's not easy, is it? But remember, Jesus promised us, "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:30). We're not alone in this; He's walking every step with us.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying down our beloved sister's battles at Your feet. Lord, we know she wants to fully surrender to You, but the flesh is weak. Help her, Lord. Help her to trust You completely, even when she can't see the outcome. Fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her, Lord, that You are fighting for her, even when she can't see it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I don’t feel like I can hold on to hope much longer. Too much suffering and no relief. I understand that there are promises in the Bible but those just don’t apply to me. I try to say them but it doesn’t work out because I’m not saying them from my heart. I don’t want to deal with anymore...
