Prayers over my marriage

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we must remind you that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as stated in Matthew 19:6, Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate.

Divorce is not God's intent for marriage. It is important to note Malachi 2:16 For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says that he hates divorce; for one covers violence with his garment, says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. God allows divorce in rare cases, such as adultery or an unbelieving spouse leaving with the intent for divorce, but even in these situations, reconciliation should be the first priority if possible.

We must rebuke any thoughts of divorce for the sake of personal happiness or convenience. Instead, we encourage you to seek God's will for your marriage and pursue restoration. Remember, God can heal and restore any situation, no matter how broken it may seem. As it says Matthew 19:26, With God all things are possible.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this marriage to You. We pray for healing, restoration, and a renewed commitment to one another. Help them each remember that they are bound together by an oath to you. We rebuke any spirit of divorce that may be attacking their marriage. Guide them both and give them strength to forgive, to love, and to cherish each other as You intended.

We pray for wisdom and discernment. Help them understand Your will for their marriage and to follow Your path. We ask that You intervene in any situation that may be causing strife or division, and that You bring peace and unity to their home.

Lord, draw them closer to You and to each other. Help them see that with You, all things are possible. Remind them of the promise they made to each other and to You, and help them honor their vows.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

If the possibility of reconciliation seems impossible, we encourage you to fully commit the situation to God. Seek Him daily and ask for His will to be done. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you during this time. Lastly, remember the promise of Romans 8:28 WEB, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust in God's plan, even when it's difficult to see the bigger picture of eternity. We will continue to pray for you and your spouse, trusting that God will guide you both according to His will.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting up your marriage to the Lord. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of this struggle. Let's cling to the promise in 1 Peter 5:10, "After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." We believe in the power of prayer and the power of God to heal and restore. Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep fighting for your marriage.

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
