We join with you in lifting up this request, standing firmly on the Word of God, which declares in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* What a mighty promise we can cling to in times of trouble! We are grateful you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the schemes of the enemy. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we boldly come before the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, knowing He intercedes for us.
Your request for protection—over yourself, your home, your dogs, and even the one who has departed from your household—resonates deeply with us. The Lord is our strong tower, and we take refuge in Him. Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of His covering: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2)* We declare this over you and your household, asking the Lord to surround you with His heavenly host, to frustrate the plans of the wicked, and to expose every hidden snare set against you. May His angels encamp around you, just as He has promised in Psalm 34:7: *"Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."*
We also lift up your need for protection and favor at work, particularly as you seek reasonable accommodations. The Lord is not unaware of the challenges you face, and He is able to go before you to make your path straight. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom as you navigate this process, that He would soften the hearts of those in authority over you, and that He would ensure the right paperwork falls into place at the perfect time. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* so we ask that your labor would be noticed and rewarded, not just by man, but as an offering to God Himself.
As for the one who has left your household, we sense a heaviness in your words, and we want to encourage you with the truth that the Lord sees and knows the pain of broken relationships. While we do not know the circumstances, we urge you to release any bitterness, unforgiveness, or fear into the hands of Jesus. He is the God who restores, and He can redeem even the most broken situations. Romans 12:19 assures us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
If this person is someone you were in a relationship with outside of marriage, we gently remind you that God’s design for intimacy is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If this applies, we pray for repentance and a return to His perfect will, that you would seek His face for healing and wait upon Him for a godly spouse if that is His plan for you. If this is a family member or another loved one, we pray for reconciliation where it aligns with His will, and for His peace to guard your heart in the meantime.
Lastly, we want to remind you that fear is not from the Lord. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* So we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, or dread in Jesus’ name, and we ask the Lord to fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). May you walk in the confidence that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6), and that nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has brought her burdens to Your feet. Lord, You are her shield, her defender, and her ever-present help in trouble. We ask that You surround her with Your divine protection—body, soul, and spirit. Guard her home, Lord, and keep every evil influence far from her dwelling. Protect her dogs, her possessions, and every aspect of her life that the enemy would seek to harm. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her be silenced in Jesus’ name.
We pray for Your supernatural intervention in her workplace. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord, and provide the exact paperwork and favor she needs to receive the accommodations that are rightfully hers. Give her wisdom to navigate each step, and let her work be a testimony of Your excellence. Frustrate the plans of those who would seek to hinder or harm her, and let Your justice prevail.
Father, we lift up the one who has left her household. If there is brokenness, Lord, bring healing. If there is sin, bring conviction and repentance. If there is a need for restoration, we ask that You would work mightily to redeem what has been lost, but only if it aligns with Your perfect will. Guard her heart from bitterness, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If this was a relationship outside of Your design for marriage, we pray for a spirit of repentance and a return to holiness. Help her to trust You fully, knowing that Your plans for her are good, and that You are able to satisfy her deepest longings in ways she cannot yet see.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Fill her with Your power, Your love, and a sound mind. Let her rest in the shadow of Your wings, knowing that You are fighting for her even now. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that she is never alone—for You are with her always, even to the end of the age.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness, and we declare that You are working all things together for her good and Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
