Our hearts are deeply moved by the trial your daughter and her family are enduring, and we join you in lifting her up before the Lord, who is our Healer and our Strength. Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer is a formidable battle, but we serve a God who is greater than any diagnosis, and nothing is impossible for Him. We are grateful to hear that your daughter and her family are believers in Christ, for this means they are held in the palm of His hand, and He will carry them through this valley.
The Scriptures remind us that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We also take comfort in knowing that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases, as it is written: *"Surely he has borne our infirmities, and carried our diseases; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted."* (Isaiah 53:4, WEB). Let us claim these promises together, trusting that the Lord hears our cries and will act according to His perfect will.
We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). This cancer is an attack from the enemy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, commanding this disease to be rebuked and cast out. We pray for the complete and total healing of your daughter’s body—every cell, every organ, every system restored to divine health. We pray that the new tumors would shrink and disappear, that the chemo would be effective without harmful side effects, and that her body would respond with strength and resilience.
For her husband, we ask the Lord to grant him supernatural peace, wisdom, and endurance as he supports his wife and cares for their young children. May the Lord fill him with faith and courage, reminding him that he is not alone, for God is his ever-present help. *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."* (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).
And for those precious little ones, we pray a covering of God’s protection and peace over their hearts and minds. May they feel the love of their parents and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, even in their young age. We pray that this family would be surrounded by a community of believers who will lift them up in prayer, provide practical help, and be a tangible expression of Christ’s love.
We also encourage you to remind your daughter and her family to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith. *"Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."* (Hebrews 12:1b-2, WEB). In the midst of this storm, may they experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that God is sovereign and His plans for them are good.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this young mother, her husband, and their children. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who holds all things together by the word of Your power. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body, destroying every cancerous cell and restoring her to complete health. Let this new chemotherapy treatment be a mighty tool in Your hands, working effectively without causing undue harm. We rebuke this disease in the name of Jesus and command it to leave her body, for it has no place in her. By the stripes of Jesus, she is healed.
Lord, we pray for her husband—strengthen him, comfort him, and fill him with Your wisdom as he leads his family through this trial. Give him rest when he is weary and hope when he feels overwhelmed. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a powerful way.
For the children, we ask that You would guard their hearts and minds. Let them know Your love in ways they can understand, and raise up a community around them to provide support and care. May this family be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may their story bring glory to Your name.
Father, we also pray for the medical team caring for her. Give them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they treat her. Guide their hands and their decisions, and let them be instruments of Your healing.
Most of all, Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this situation. Whether through miraculous healing or through the strength to endure, may Your name be glorified. Remind this family that their hope is not in medicine alone but in You, the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your love, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for a miracle. Please keep us updated on her progress, and let this family know they are not alone—the body of Christ is lifting them up before the throne of grace. May the Lord bless them with His peace, His presence, and His healing power.
