We lift you up before the Father today, knowing that He cares deeply for every detail of your life, including your work, your safety, and the challenges you face with others. It is wonderful that you have brought your requests in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we join you in that trust as we pray.
The anxiety and dread you feel are not from the Lord, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Today, we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May you walk in confidence, knowing that the Lord goes before you and is with you; He will not fail you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Regarding your coworker, we recognize that her behavior is not only hurtful to you but is also dishonoring to God. The Bible warns us that gossip and bullying are detestable in His sight. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us that there are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things He detests: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." Gossip and bullying fall under these sins, and we must pray for her repentance and transformation. At the same time, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). So we ask the Lord to soften her heart, to convict her by His Spirit, and to bring her to a place of genuine repentance. May she encounter the love of Christ in a way that changes her from the inside out, so that her words and actions reflect His grace rather than the works of the flesh.
We also pray for your protection as you travel to and from work. The Lord is your shield and your strong tower (Psalm 18:2, Proverbs 18:10). May His angels encamp around you, guarding you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). We ask that He would keep you from harm, accidents, and any evil that may seek to come against you. May your path be smooth, and may you arrive safely at your destination, filled with gratitude for His provision.
Lastly, we encourage you to walk in wisdom today. Colossians 4:5-6 reminds us, "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Even in the face of unkindness, let your responses be seasoned with grace. Trust that the Lord sees all things and will vindicate you in His timing. Do not retaliate or stoop to the level of gossip or bullying yourself, but instead, overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21).

Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sister, lifting her needs and concerns to You. Lord, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace, driving out all anxiety and dread as she steps into her workplace. Remind her that she is not alone, for You are with her, strengthening her and upholding her with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
We pray for her coworker, Lord. Soften her heart and convict her of the sin in her life. Bring her to repentance, that she may turn from gossip and bullying and instead walk in love and kindness. Let her encounter You in a powerful way, Lord, so that her life reflects Your glory. And in the meantime, we ask that You would protect our sister from her harmful words and actions. Set a guard over her mouth, Lord, and keep her from responding in anger or bitterness. Give her the grace to forgive and the wisdom to know how to handle this situation in a way that honors You.
We ask for Your protection over our sister as she travels. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and keep her safe from all harm. Let her journey be smooth and her heart be filled with praise for Your faithfulness.
Lastly, Father, we pray that You would use our sister as a light in her workplace. May her words and actions point others to You, even in the midst of difficulty. Give her opportunities to share Your love and truth, and may she walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are her strength and her redeemer.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
