We join you in lifting up this workday to the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply about every detail of your life. The anxiety and dread you feel are real, but we are reminded in **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)** not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. You have done well to bring these burdens before Him, and we trust that He will replace your fear with His peace as you surrender this day into His hands.
It is also encouraging to see you invoke the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. **John 14:13-14 (WEB)** tells us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* This is a powerful reminder that your prayers are heard because you come in the authority of Jesus’ name.
Regarding your coworker, we pray that God would indeed soften their heart toward you. **Proverbs 16:7 (WEB)** says, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* While we cannot control the actions of others, we can trust God to work in their hearts and ask Him to help you respond with grace and wisdom. **Colossians 4:6 (WEB)** encourages us to let our speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that we may know how we ought to answer each person. Even in difficult interactions, your conduct can be a testimony of Christ’s love.
We also lift up your safety as you travel to and from work. **Psalm 121:7-8 (WEB)** assures us, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* Rest in the knowledge that He watches over you and will protect you as you go about your day.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child, asking for Your presence to go with them throughout this workday. Lord, we ask that You would replace every ounce of dread and anxiety with Your perfect peace, a peace that transcends all understanding. Remind them that You are sovereign over every situation, and that they are not alone, for You are with them always.
We pray for their coworker, Lord. Soften their heart and turn their attitude from hostility to kindness. Help ### to respond with grace, wisdom, and patience, reflecting Your love even in difficult moments. May this situation be an opportunity for Your light to shine through them, and may any bitterness or resentment be replaced with forgiveness and compassion.
We ask for Your protection over their travels today. Guard them from any harm or danger, and bring them safely to their destination and back home again. Let them feel Your covering over them, knowing that You are their shield and defender.
Father, we also pray that this day would be productive and filled with moments of joy and encouragement. Help them to see Your hand at work in even the smallest details, and may they glorify You in all they do. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
As you go about your day, remember that you are not just working for earthly purposes but as unto the Lord. **Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB)** says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Let this truth encourage you to walk in excellence and trust that God sees your faithfulness. If the weight of anxiety begins to creep back in, take a moment to pray and declare God’s promises over your situation. You are His, and He is for you!
