We join you in lifting up your workday to the Lord, trusting that He is faithful to hear and answer prayers offered in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for Scripture reminds us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, and through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). Your request aligns with God’s desire for His children to walk in peace, safety, and favor, and we stand with you in agreement for these things.
The anxiety and dread you feel are not from the Lord, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Cast these burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth, and He promises to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you trust in Him (Philippians 4:6-7). When worries arise, fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable—whatever is excellent or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, rule in your heart today.
We also pray for your coworkers, that the Lord would soften their hearts and grant you favor with them. May He give you wisdom in your interactions and the grace to be a light in your workplace, reflecting Christ’s love and patience. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.” Let this truth encourage you today—your labor is not in vain when it is done unto the Lord.
For your safety as you travel, we declare Psalm 121 over you: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.” Trust in His protection, for He is faithful.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child, lifting up their workday into Your hands. We ask that You would replace every trace of dread and anxiety with Your perfect peace, which transcends all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way. Soften the hearts of their coworkers, Lord, and grant them favor in every interaction. May their work be done with excellence, as unto You, and may they be a testimony of Your grace and love. We pray for their safety as they travel—protect them from all harm and danger, and bring them home securely. May they walk in the assurance that You are with them, guiding their steps and ordering their day. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Walk in confidence today, knowing that the Lord goes before you and is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8). If anxiety begins to creep in, take a moment to pray and declare Scripture over your situation. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Trust in Him, and watch how He moves on your behalf. We are praying for you!
