We join you in lifting up your day to the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for every detail of your life. Your request is rooted in faith, and we commend you for bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
The dread and anxiety you feel are not from the Lord, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that God would replace your anxiety with His perfect peace, reminding you that He is sovereign over your workday. May you walk in the confidence that *"the Lord is at hand"* (Philippians 4:5), and that He goes before you in all things. We ask that He would grant you favor with your supervisors and colleagues, that your work would be productive, and that you would be a light for Christ in your workplace.
Regarding your coworker, we recognize the pain caused by her hurtful ways, and we pray for her heart to be softened by the Holy Spirit. The Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because their actions are justified, but because God desires their repentance and transformation. We pray that she would come to see the impact of her words and actions, that conviction would lead her to change, and that she would either treat you with kindness or be removed from your path if that is God’s will. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32). While we pray for her heart to change, we also ask that the Lord would protect you from further harm and give you wisdom in how to respond to her, whether through gentle words, boundaries, or seeking guidance from leadership if necessary.
We also lift up your safety as you travel to and from work. The Lord is your protector, and we ask that He would surround you with His angels, keeping you from harm and danger. *"The Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:8). May you rest in the assurance that He watches over you, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Finally, we thank you for ending your prayer in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace. We pray that your faith would be strengthened today, that you would sense His presence with you, and that you would walk in the victory He has already secured for you.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, lifting up their workday and every concern they’ve placed in Your hands. Lord, we ask that You would flood their heart with Your peace, casting out all dread and anxiety. Remind them that You are with them, that You are for them, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Grant them favor in their work, that their tasks would be completed with excellence and joy, and that they would shine as a witness for You.
We pray for the coworker who has caused them pain. Soften her heart, Lord, and bring conviction where it is needed. If she is acting out of her own hurt or brokenness, heal her and draw her to Yourself. Give our sister the grace to forgive, the wisdom to set boundaries, and the strength to respond in a way that honors You. If it is Your will, remove this person from their path or change her heart entirely, that harmony and kindness would replace strife.
Protect our sister as she travels, Lord. Send Your angels to guard her way, and let her arrive safely at her destination. May she feel Your presence with her, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers because of Jesus. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Strengthen our sister’s faith today, and let her see Your hand at work in every detail. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
