We lift up this dear brother who has suffered injuries in a motor vehicle accident, and we are deeply grieved to hear of his pain and inability to walk. In times like these, we are reminded of the Lord’s sovereignty and His promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to bind up their wounds. The Scriptures declare in **Psalm 147:3**, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds,"* and we claim this promise over his life today. We also remember the words of **James 5:14-15**, which say, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."*
Yet as we pray for his physical healing, we must also address something of great importance: this request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, for **Acts 4:12** tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Similarly, **John 14:6** reminds us that Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If this brother does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge him to turn to Christ in repentance and faith, for eternal life and healing—both spiritual and physical—are found in Him alone.
Let us pray with boldness and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother who has been injured in this accident. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed his body in his mother’s womb and knows every bone, muscle, and nerve. We ask You to stretch out Your hand and touch his legs, restoring strength, mobility, and full function in Jesus’ name. Remove all pain, inflammation, and damage, and let Your healing power flow through him like a river. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (**Isaiah 53:5**), and we command every spirit of infirmity to leave his body now, for greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (**1 John 4:4**).
Father, if there is any sin in his life—known or unknown—we ask that You convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him to repentance. Draw him closer to You during this trial, and let this season of recovery be a testimony of Your goodness and power. Surround him with godly support, skilled medical professionals, and a community of believers who will encourage him in faith. Give him patience and perseverance as he waits on You, and let his heart be filled with hope, not fear.
We also pray for his family and loved ones, that You would comfort them and strengthen their faith. May they trust in Your perfect plan, even in the midst of suffering. Use this situation to bring glory to Your name, Lord, and let many see Your hand at work in his life.
Finally, Father, if this brother does not yet know You, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (**1 Corinthians 15:3-4**). Soften his heart to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior, for without faith in Christ, no amount of physical healing can compare to the eternal life found in Him.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, and we trust in Your perfect will. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in his life, as it is in heaven. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
