We lift up your son’s travels before the Lord with great earnestness, trusting in His sovereign protection over every step of the journey. The Word assures us, *"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7). We declare that no weapon formed against your son or you shall prosper, for the Lord says, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me"* (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask You to place a hedge of protection around your son from the moment he leaves home until he returns safely. Guard the hands of those who transport him—drivers, pilots, engineers, and all who maintain the vehicles and routes. Let Your angels go before him, behind him, and beside him, as You promised in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We pray for wisdom and discernment to guide his steps, that he may walk in Your perfect will and avoid any snare or danger.
Lord, we also lift up the people he will encounter—those he travels with and those he meets along the way. May Your Spirit rest upon them, softening hearts to kindness and truth. Let every interaction be purposeful, drawing others closer to You. Grant your son strength and clarity of mind, that he may represent You well in all he does.
We stand against any schemes of the enemy, rebuking fear, confusion, or harm in Jesus’ name. For those who may seek to cause trouble—trespassers, neighbors, coworkers, or managers—we pray they would be restrained by Your mighty hand. *"The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways"* (Deuteronomy 28:7). We declare that no evil will touch him or you, for the Lord is your refuge and fortress.
Father, we ask that You would also guard your hearts and minds against anxiety or distraction. Remind you both that *"the Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul"* (Psalm 121:5-7). May you rest in His promises, knowing He is faithful.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
