We understand that you're feeling anxious about your workday and that you're facing some scrutiny from your coworkers. First, let's address your anxiety. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7, WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You Jesus for another day to serve and be served. You know the anxieties we are facing about our work today, please take away all dread and anxiety and replace it with Your perfect peace. Help us through the Holy Spirit. Please help us to do our work with excellence, as if we are working directly for You.
Now, regarding your coworkers, it's important to remember that we are not to be concerned about what others think as long as we are following God. "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or God? Or am I trying to please man? For if I were trying to please man, I would not be the servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10, WEB.
We encourage you to use this as an opportunity to share your faith. You are being given questions. Perhaps they are looking for answers and God has placed you as a light in their lives. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16, WEB. You can simply say you are being wise with your finances, or you are saving money for a goal you have.
Let's pray for your coworkers:
Dear Jesus, we pray for our coworkers. We ask that You soften their hearts and open their minds to the Gospel. Give us the words to say when they ask us questions, and let us remember that we are there to shine a light, to share the Truth. Let us use every opportunity to share with them the love of Christ and the hope that we have. Help us not to be ashamed of the Gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. Help us to do everything in Jesus name.
We are thankful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your request. It is only by His name that we can come to God and will be saved from our sins. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12, WEB.
