Prayers for the relationship with the person God ordained for me, as He ordained me for her

Hello and God bless you for taking the time to read this. My partner and I were separated by the enemy’s schemes against us for roughly six weeks. Praise God, we have been reunited by Him on Christmas Eve as we’ve begun to grow closer than ever. This isn’t the first time the enemy has interrupted our life and relationship, and in fact, in a pattern of three weeks of reconciliation appears to be when the enemy makes an attack against my partner to confuse her with anxiety and uncertainty, tangling her mind and ears with its lies to create division.

The past three weeks have been the most meaningful time my partner and I have spent together so far, and as of Saturday 1-10-26, the enemy reared its ugly head into our life again. We had a conversation that the enemy is attempting to contradict the truth and the love God has blessed us with over the last few weeks. I beg for your help to stand in agreement against the enemy’s lies that happened Saturday, and the Sunday morning before she went on her way. To permanently end the 3-week cycle of the enemy’s interference, and to slay what demon that has attempted to take hold in our relationship consistently interrupting our life in these intervals.

To ask that the enemy is not allowed to separate what God has joined together between my partner and I in spirit, and that my partner and I’s love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and will endure all things, and that our love never ends. To ensure that we fulfill our covenant before Him of becoming husband and wife. To show her what is real, not what the enemy is attempting to distort. I am standing firm and strong in God’s word, asking Him to shield both my partner and I, and our relationship in God’s armor. I began absolute fasting to gain God’s clarity and show Him the importance of this spiritual warfare we face. I thank you brothers and sisters for your support by standing in agreement with me, God bless you all.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We hear your heart and the deep desire to see God’s will fully realized in this relationship. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand with you in spiritual warfare, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The cycles of attack you describe are not coincidental; they are strategic attempts to undermine what God has joined together.

First, we must address the foundation of this relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). While you refer to this person as your "partner," we must encourage you both to align your relationship with God’s design. If this is a courtship with the intention of marriage, that should be the clear goal, pursued in purity and holiness. If you are already living together or engaging in sexual intimacy outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). True love waits and honors God with the body (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

The enemy thrives on deception, and his lies often target the mind with fear, doubt, and confusion. We rebuke every spirit of division, anxiety, and uncertainty that has been speaking against the truth of God’s love for you both. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world; they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). You are right to fast and pray—this is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare. But let your fasting be accompanied by humility, repentance, and a renewed commitment to walk in obedience to God’s Word.

We also notice that while you mention God, the focus has not been on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus’ blood that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we cast out demons, pray, and stand firm against the enemy (Mark 16:17, Philippians 2:9-11). Without Jesus, our prayers lack authority. We encourage you to center your relationship, your prayers, and your future marriage on Him alone.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the love You have placed in the hearts of Your children and for the covenant You desire to establish between a man and a woman in holy matrimony. Lord, we stand against every scheme of the enemy that seeks to divide, confuse, and destroy what You have joined together. We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of division, fear, and deception in the name of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would shield both of them with Your armor—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Let Your truth expose every lie of the enemy, and let Your love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18). We pray for clarity and discernment, that they would recognize the enemy’s tactics and stand firm in Your promises. Lord, we ask that You would break the cycle of attack and establish a hedge of protection around their relationship, their minds, and their hearts.

We also pray for repentance and holiness. If there is any area of their relationship that does not align with Your Word, reveal it to them, Lord. Give them the strength to walk in purity and to honor You with their bodies, for You have called them to holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7). Prepare them for the sacred covenant of marriage, that they may enter it with clean hands and pure hearts (Psalm 24:4).

Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and their commitment to one another, rooted in You. Let their love bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). May their relationship be a testimony to Your grace and power, and may they always seek You first in all things.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect will for their lives. May Your name be glorified in all they do, and may they grow closer to You and to one another each day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord together, not just in times of struggle, but daily. Study the Word, pray without ceasing, and surround yourselves with godly counsel. The enemy will flee when he sees you standing firm in faith (James 4:7). If marriage is your goal, pursue it with intentionality, seeking God’s timing and His best for both of you. Remember, love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Walk in this kind of love, and the enemy will have no foothold.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your relationship. It's amazing to see how God has been working in your lives, bringing you closer together after each attack from the enemy. We're grateful for the progress you've made and the commitment you both have to growing in love and unity.

We want to encourage you to keep up the good work. Keep seeking God's face together, praying and fasting as you've been doing. Remember, our enemy thrives on division and deception, but God's love is stronger. It's a love that casts out fear, a love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. That's the love we see in you both, and it's a powerful weapon against the enemy's schemes.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You today, thanking You for the love You've placed in their hearts. We stand against every scheme of the enemy, every attempt to divide, confuse, or destroy what You've joined together. We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper. We ask that You would shield them with Your armor, truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Give them clarity and discernment to recognize the enemy's tactics and stand firm in Your promises.

We also pray for repentance and holiness. If there's any area of their relationship that doesn't align with Your Word, reveal it to them, Lord. Give them the strength to walk in purity and honor You with their bodies. Prepare them for the sacred covenant of marriage, that they may enter it with clean hands and pure hearts.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and commitment to one another, rooted in You. Let their love bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things. May their relationship be a testimony to Your grace and power, always seeking You first in all things.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
